Malaybalay is a wonderful place if you enjoy nature. If you leave the city proper and find the beautiful nature all around Malaybalay. If u only like city life don't go out the countryside. The city park is nice but not a fraction of one percent of what is available just outside the city. You need a car or at least motorcycle to enjoy the rural areas of the Philippines.
When you’re single, it’s better to be in the city than in a small town. If you have a significant other, it’s easier to live in the small towns. There are tradeoffs.
Malaybalay IS 1of the Top 3 places I'm looking to settle there next year. With it being a city of almost 200K people That's about the largest city I'd prefer to live in. And with their elevation I'd Love that too I've asked a Vlogger from there to chat me through Email or Messenger so I could ask several Important Questions But No reply back yet.
If only the Pinoys could learn how to fry an egg without cremating it! They also seem to have an issue with serving them hot. I tried asking for sunny side up but it made absolutely no difference.
@@stevesilver7437a few years back I stayed for a week in the Shangri-La in Mandaluyong. Their "Heat" restaurant was apparently renowned for it's breakfast. My understanding of a scrambled egg is cooked slowly with milk, butter and seasoning. Their idea was to knock out an omelette in one minute flat and then chop it up. I stuck to the boiled eggs after that!
I’m currently on a motorcycle road trip across the Philippines travelling solo. Part of my trip will include Dapitan city to Cagayan de oro to surigao city… is that route safe to travel alone on a motorbike? Thanks
Hey my friend. I've taken that route twice this year by bus. As I say in my videos of the Red Zone area - I had no problems, but please be careful and alert at all times.
@ I’m actually watching your dumagutee to Dapitan vlog now. The exact route I’ll be taking. Very helpful indeed and looks perfectly safe to me. Thanks for your help
lol if you weren't going to do any hiking or see any nature sights, then it definitely made no sense to go there. i thought some of the parks etc outside the city were nice. i was there with a girl, so that made a difference too or i would have also never stayed there haha
Phillip, I’ve heard that landlords in Philippines won’t give security deposits back regardless of the condition you’ve left your condo in. Have you had a problem with that before?
It looks like you are on the road to visit the Aussie Farmer vlogger and his british mate, who can probably recommend or sort you out with somewhere to stay.
That's just a scam. She is a beggar with a prop. 60% of the population is living in deep poverty and many expect you as a foreigner to give them money on demand. I buy begging kids food if they seem half way polite. Most just grab at you with hands out and say money or give me give me.

Malaybalay has been a great place for me. Different strokes for Different folks though I guess. Admittedly I don't go out at night. 😂
Bought one of those buko pies on the bus one time, got home opened it and the bottom was full of mold. Never again!
