I have an A2K super skin and have had it a decade it’s much lighter than the full leather Down side? It doesn’t hold its shape nearly as well. I have an A2000 el3 that I bought around the same time and I like that glove so much more. Holds its shape significantly better.
From a general observation, the western hemisphere in general seems to hit and throw a good bit harder than the Japanese and Koreans, whereas the Japanese and Koreans play with more technicality and finesse. Could be the reason behind the thicker feel for American gloves.
@@googlemail6996there are hardball gloves as well, they’re also made lighter so I feel like it’s made more for function because of the style of fielding while ours might be more for comfort and protection
One of the best parts about living in Japan, walked in the sporting goods store looking for batting gloves, saw a brand new Wilson Staff infielder glove sitting on the time sale rack. It was previously returned with the tag still on minus box and bag, going for the equivalent of $150. It was a no brainer.
Just picked up a Wilson a1000 made in Japan in 2003. 12.5" Just picked it up new on eBay for my boy. He's starting middle school ball this year. I wanted something decent. Not top the line but not bottom of the line. Almost got a Rawlings gamer xle but came across the Wilson on eBay. Them older Japan made gloves are really nice! When I come across them I like to snag em. Esp this one being brand new. Got it for 165 shipped.
Hey Elian, just today I felt multiple A2000s that were SO COMFORTABLE the thumb and pinky pads, it was like a pillow, can you describe what the Rev1X feels like thank you
Man I was a Wilson and Rawlings guy for years. When it comes to Japanese gloves, they just bringing gloves to another level. You should try a JP brand that is called Kubota Slugger, but their gloves really required hot water treatment for breaking in, otherwise that would be really hard to break in and the outcome won’t be great as well. Trust me if you happen to have a chance to get a kubota gloves, you must have a try once in your life.
cool glove! Is this one made for baseball or Japanese rubber ball? Most of the HOH and Wilsons from Japan on ebay say made for rubber but can be used for real baseball
they are most definitely not the same! conditioner is like a cream, it works like lotion on your skin. better for overall use. oil is more so for preserving leather and adding some color
Still, looking at gloves for my birthday, and if i find that in around my size, YOINK, what do you think is more comfortable a Rev1X (My frontrunner) or that also where do you think I can find that online without gettimg hacked
The 1786 and new wilsons have the soft mushy hand stall now, and the staff looks to have the normal leather as pre 2000 models had which feels much better. USA wilsons going downhill.
@@chadrides914 Wilson USA uses a softer interior like a sheep skin and label it as comfort fit and it doesn't hold up as well as just regular leather as seen in the mint glove.

Very good point!

They use rubber balls in Japan. The Rawlings gloves with model numbers beginning with “GR” are for rubber ball. They are not made as heavy.
@@googlemail6996I’m well aware of what a softball glove is. I’m comparing hardball gloves to our baseball gloves. They’re still much thinner

That’s clean!!! Always love when you post! Lfg
How do I get one of these gloves with the bear on it
I recommend eBay!
Any light blue glove has my approval
That's gonna be the nicest softball glove ever used on a field 😭😭

Awesome video! I’m loving the consistency. Is there a way to tie the triple thumb loops or does everyone just keep them undone?
日本製の評価が高いなんて
誇りに思います
What glove are the best companies in japan?
Every time I think my new hoh is broken in; it gets better and better with every use.

This one is a baseball glove. And while yes you can use a rubberball glove for hardball, it won’t be as durable
Is rubber ball same as a Kenko glove ?
Hey Elian do you know what color your Padres A2000 the color that isn't pink looks really nice
it’s not mint if you were wondering Lol. it’s teal
Is Sarna glove conditioner and oil the exact same? Do both preserve gloves or is their a major difference between the two?

Where were you able to get one?
Do some Japanese Wilson still have the MLB logo on the side

They’re both equally comfortable. And I would say check eBay
