Owami, as a person with experience in this field. If u still wanna continue, get the car insured and leave the rest because the stress will never end. Even quit having an attachment to the car , just tell urself it’s just a car because every small thing will hurt you . And don’t get me started with the drivers and their stories , I even got to the point of accepting I’m going to have a new driver every 3-6 months and I’m ok with that now . The moment a driver gives me problems,I’m like ok cool ,on to the next one.
Yoh same. Don’t be attached or you will fall into depression every other week. Also be willing to move on to another driver, don’t take the stories.

Let me just say, sorry for your experience❤. Advise, corporate has contract and the reason people serve as they should is because they are held accountable. People are fired and replaced until the right person is found. The first incident should have had consequences. Business and favors don't mix nor do they end well.

Hi Owamie. It sucks that you experienced this, I’m really sorry. I think find a way that you’re in control of the app and all card payments come into your account and wena you pay them an agreed percentage of what money they worked. I guess the only money that will go straight to him will be the cash clients but you should be able to track those as well if you’re in control of the app.

I'm getting sinister vibes from your story. Do a scan on the car for "bottles of potions" maybe he thought o "bopha ispani" and now things didn't work out. What time of the day did he hit the pothole? Cars are "bopha'd" at night and obviously not in the suburbs.
Please check if the car key was not cloned. Apparently they clone the keys so they can steal them from you easy
A lot of black South African Business owners will agree with you concerning the unemployment rate versus how people carry themselves at work. That is why white people are selfish and will employ who ever they feel is better for their business ( that is mostly foreigners). In my experience with Zimbabweans ngiyabathanda angifuni ukungasho. I have had awesome experiences and the honest truth is they really do differ from our South African brothers. Bayadakwa, Bayadelela especially if you are a black female, they are always absent and late and my business can not afford that. My business is not political. Screw putting South Africans first, I am putting my family, my business and myself first.
One thing about some taxi or uber/bolt drivers is, they will hope from one car to another after wreck less driving your car. Lapho ke you as the owner will be left behind with a damaged or wrecked car with a pile of bills.

I went through the most with bolt. My car was beyond repairs....i despise the day I trusted my driver with my car. Ay it's better if you going to do the driving, not give it to someone else, people will not take care of something they know they not fully responsible for.
I'm also in the bolt business it hasn't been easy , you get drivers who take advantage 😢 its only this year that I've found better drivers to work with. I've also been through the most when it comes to bolt and ubber drivers. Don't give up Owamie❤

It's actually is possible to trigger the tracker system when jumpstarting a vehicle! It's happened to me
Nah, my battery died and my tracking company didn't call. It didn't need to be taken out when someone came to charge it. The only time it was taken out was when I replaced it, then tracking company called immediately.
@LebogangMaboeane. Maybe with some cars. When I changed my battery, I didn't have to reset my keys. They still work fine with the new battery.

He was stealing parts... Bolt drivers and motorbike drivers do that. Also have a connection at bolt or Uber that tells you when his paid. That helped me and also they can tell you if the driver is not a good driver.

Not to down one brand and to promote the other, but if you expand the business try getting into Uber…. One it’s safer for your driver and vehicle. There are hardly ever any incidents of an Uber driver being hijacked by their passengers. Two you as the business owner have full control and foresight of how your business is performing and what your drivers are doing, let me explain. Under Uber you as the vehicle owner have a fleet account where you can monitor your drivers earnings and trips. Secondly Uber is mostly card payments, meaning the money goes into your account, the fleet owner and then you will pay the drivers after taking your share. Its an open and transparent system for both the driver and the owner. Also if there’s an issue with a driver switching to another driver is easy and swift.
Is it not harder to get into the Uber system though compared to Bolt or whatever its called now.
It’s actually quite similar. There only difference is that one you need to have the commercial insurance before you can even operate on the Uber app, and also the driver needs to do a driver’s evaluation test. Where they need to score above 80% to start driving. It’s like R300 or so. But apart from that whatever you need from Bolt is the same as with Uber.

I can definitely relate... every time we change the driver there are costly repairs to be done... the next driver does more damage than the previous one... when the latest driver opens his mouth its like air comes out coz nothing makes sense... in Zulu we say uyabhibhidla like a small child😅 so we done with him and stuck with a car that needs repairs coz the engine is a hot mess😢
