Love that the crowd “boooooed” divisive colman young. Trying figure out what the the crowd was chanting at him while dick purtan waved his hands as if to say “take it easy”.

I was beginning 3rd Grade at Guyton Elementary in Detroit. I remember on the day of this parade our school had “Tigers Day” where we were encouraged to wear Tigers attire or navy blue and orange.

Appreciate this team more and more every year. I was 13 years old and I thought I would have seen a few more Champs by now. So glad my Dad got us so involved in Baseball that year. The memory's have had to last a long time..lol

Early afternoon; typically pre-empting 12-3 broadcasting. May have even started at 10 or 11 AM.

TV was much better when locals ruled the day. WDIV CARED ABOUT DETROIT AND MICHIGAN. Now everything is generic.

I was there. Great day, but chaotic! No police lines, so the fans just closed in and shook he player's hands, slapped them on the back, and hugged them. Lots of love for this team always.
