As noted, Wildroot came in a tube that was the same size as a toothpaste tube. My dad used the stuff. One morning, while still half asleep, I went to brush my teeth. You can guess the rest.

It's a very good product. Just only use a small application of it, as always, a little goes a long way and with every other day hair washings, it will work out perfectly.

My dad used to send my brother and I to a barber that used that goop. After a while we started hiding on barber shop days until about a year or so later when Dad finally tracked us down. By that time our hair was down to our shoulders. He just shook his head and said, “You guys look like the Dickens.” We told him we didn’t like that oily stuff in our our hair. He replied, “I give up. Go ahead, look like hell.”

When my grandfather took my brother and I to the barber that used “ goop” the stuff was like an oil slick on our heads and miserable to wash out. Our grandmother took us to the kitchen sink and shampooed our hair . We’d have to endure her hair shampooing twice as long to rinse that stuff out .. I had thicker hair than my brother and remember one time she shampooed me 3 times to get that stuff out. And even worse she used her old lady shampoo on us and was way too girly smelling so we always tried to hide from her after the barber shop ..

Depends how much was used. A little goes a long way, and it isn't greasy either. You have to only use just a little, not a lot of this stuff. The barber should only use just a small amount of application, and your hair will look great, and wouldn't take much to wash it out, providing that you wash your hair every other day.

@@danbasta3677 Exactly. I own the Oakhurst version (in the big 15 oz barbershop style bottle),and I only use a dab and a half. Feels natural, not greasy, shiny as hell, holds in place, and washes out with just a pump and a half of shampoo. Also,a manufacturer in Mexico actually makes Wildroot Conditioner, which supposedly has the original formula. 9 dollars on Amazon.

@@mr.vintage4889 There ya go. Now your using this product properly and efficiently the way it's suppose to be used, just a small application is all ya need, not a whole hand full. Using only a small application with every other day hair washings will work out perfectly for you. And you only have to put the hair cream in your hair only once a week, that's it, Fort Pitt!

Dario Witer It's changed hands from Colgate Palmolive to Stephens, and recently to Oakhurst. Still an excellent product to train your hair with.

One of the Wildroot spots of the late 1950s had "Charlie" hunting a dragon. And the dragon sings "Get Wildroot Cream, Charlie."

Que esta pasando con el wuildrot actual. Ya no es como antes espeso, ahora parece agua, no se de quien ha sido la idea de volver muy delgado este producto.

Borrowed sell line from another hair product, however the saying is quite true, only a small application of this product is all ya need and your hair will look great with every other day hair washings and once a week use you'll do really well.
