Hello, how are you my friend? I have a problem with my UV5R device. If you can help me, after programming it is no longer possible to transmit on VUF frequencies, for example 420,000 or any number exceeding the number 3.
Okay this is much easier than CHIRP....... I started with QRZ-1 and it was so super simple. I just received the TIDRADIO UV5R new version. Will this work okay for the Bluetooth option? And how do I enter offset? I don't see a column for that
I am so confused I've got this and I've been running through it this morning and I have no clue if it programmed everything. The light was beeping as it was doing it what not but I have no clue if it programmed it on my UV5R I know that sounds stupid but I'm just confused
Question off topic Got a Bioenno battery 12v 12Ah and a battery charger Fuyuang .5A 50VA. Charger has alligator clips and the output of the battery is positive and negative and it does not have another cord for charging. Did I get the wrong device Because at some point in time I wanna use a solar panel and maybe another battery the size of the next one up. Looking for some positive input. And by the way And by the way Do I have to have a Voltage and amp meter in line so I know what's going on with my battery while it's been used thank you thank you wonderful sight
If you have connections on your battery that are metal tabs you can connect the alligator clips to, then no. If your battery has power poles, then yes. So either get a charger that has power poles, or cut off the alligator clips and put power poles on it. You don't have to have an inline watt meter but I would strongly recommend one.
@@hamradiotube ok all this portable operating is new to me. I did look at the charger and it has a plug and do away with alligator clips. With watt and voltage can I put in the meters and some how to include a charger and solar system. What would you look for. Farberfright have 100 watts or could I spend more for something better
My main concern is having the frequencies all ready to go that I can just load up instead of having to type in. does it have any features like that? It would be great if there was a way to type in a ZIP Code or even your state to see what the frequencies were in that state. Download those directly through the app
That is very handy. The fengs aren't that hard to program from the face. The problem I have is remembering how to do it and having to look it up after not doing it for long time.
They sent me that one too but it has the same issues. The app doesn’t allow easy bulk programming and they insist on having this IP radio functionality built in. I think using a cloud website to program is a big bag of YIKES.
I just got the updated version and I get get everything to work except for the life of me it won't write in channel names no matter what I do..has anyone have a solution or ran into this problem? Please let know thx.
I came searching for this info. Was wondering if you could save an "image" of the radio as a file... have multiple files....and put them on radios when needed. Did you get it to work?
What bugs me is the lack of CHIRP support. Pity it can't act as a TNC either. that'd make that a pretty good buy. As is, requiring it's own forspecial bespoke programming? Fail.
Thanks for helping me pull the trigger. I think this might make a quick, small, rechargeable and easy UHF deploy combo (that can be easily reprogrammed for different locations) when paired with the TIDRADIO TD-M8. Hopefully... more to report when they arrive. :) KJ7NUX
Thanks for the review! Keep up the awesome videos! It looks like a handy device, however I wish it was more of a wireless programming cable so you could use other apps like CHIRP. I’m almost ready to pull the trigger and buy one...I’ll think I’ll will wait a bit longer...73 de N6LPV
I wonder if you can update firmware on the old one for those of us that just bought the first model? It is pretty inexpensive, but kinda of bummer they put the first model on sale not too long ago to make way for the new. Will probably buy the new one if not.
Hello, the old version and the new version work the same, actually we “update” by updating the app not the device, the new version just changes to the Type C port and the light turns blue.
I hate to break it to you, but you must use a computer. That thing that you make phone calls on is a computer (with a cellular modem peripheral). Nice review. 73, Bill
Grrrrr!!!!!🧐😤🧐 I am so angry & frustrated with these arse-clowns for the shoddy instructions they put out with their gadget. One of many rxamples: They never even made any reference to how to reach their web app. Oh, they made reference to it, but no directions HOW to get there or how to use their web page function. My tri-band radio is only credited as a dual-band radio, with no way to correct that!
Thank you for such honest reviews. Yes, we are still improving the software and Bluetooth. We have received your feedback. Thank you again😃
Why don't you listen to your customers who hate the social garbage on the app?
Hello
Mike
I just recently get the TIDRADIO BL-1 and don’t have my radio on the software of the application . My radio is the TD-H5.
How do you copy and paste to the new radio
Are the same functions like using the cable and CHIRP?
Pulled trigger and it fried first time using it! Sending another!
Not even really super into radios and HAM but I have the uv-82hp. Having said that....that programmer is badass! Thanks for introducing me to it. 👏👏👏
Is the Radtel RT-470 on the list?
I just got the UV10R. I didn't see it on the list. Could I use the UV5R settings??
Can you use this device to manually program a Frequency

It should. You'll have to try it. If I remember there is no offset setting, you just have to manually program the two different frequencies.
@@hamradiotube thanks for the quick response. So my radio I can't hear local NOAA, any suggestions?

No this doesn't do anything like that.

None of that bothers me.

simple addition of aprs WILL be awesome to be able to throw onto one of my beofengs...
I don't get the draw to APRS myself but good lord are the APRS guys committed.
I saved the frequencies to the program. How do I retrieve it???

Can you do a video on that please and please be specific
I've looked on Amazon but it seems they only carry V1. Where can I get V2. Thanks for the great videos.
You can get it via Mike's above link, thank you.
The link in the description is the correct one.
Thanks. I ordered it.
Does this replace Chirp? thanks.
It's just another, different way to program a radio.
@@hamradiotube thanks
It will work with baofeng uv-3r?
I don't think so.

@@Littrell1966 You're welcome.😀
What TIDRADIO said.
Will this work without internet ? We need something to program in the field when everything is out... Don't like Chirp Thanks..
Yep. It works over Bluetooth.

No way Katemurder.
Wow a reverse BaoFeng! 😬😬😬
You saw it here first!

Just buy the RFINDER B1+ no need to have all that stuff. Look it up on the radio and your in.😂
Yea you could do that. I’ll be with Bob at winter field day. I’ll let him know you recommend this 😀

I hate the social crap on the app. Just make it a simple programming app. Additionally, the app is buggy and corrupts BF-F8HP CTSS tones. Garbage.
Totally agree. And the app has been out for a WHILE. You'd think it would be stable by now.
Will it link to repeaterbook to download the whole list like Chirp can ?? Thanks
Nope … big time disappointed. All it does apparently is store channels already on your radio
App does nothing but freeze up for me
It’s buggy as all get out. I was just using it yesterday and it wouldn’t even download from the radio.
