This is usually how shows are, the way the PA is set up is so that those far from the stage can hear everything. If you're too close to the front you're mostly going to get monitors and depending on which side of the stage you are you might not hear everything.

Yeah there were two stages & 3 screens. One screen on each side of the stages & in the middle
