I have to admit, E7's animations are fire. I quit the game pretty early, but they really stepped up their game with most of the newer animations. There's a certain magic that E7 can pull off with their use of sprites and animated cut-ins. A lot of the animations have amazing scenes with area destruction and dynamic view point shifts that I think Star Rail won't really be able to come close to. My guess is that while Star Rail will have good looking skills, they will be limited to basic camera angels that fit within the 3D environments. Even Himeko's orbital laser doesn't feel as epic and powerful as some of the animations in E7.
