I really love how you symbolized jayfeather's and briarlights negative feelings with the pulsing dark purple and blue lights, showing how it's a constant pressure and "dead weight" on their minds! The whole animation is just tied so closely to the music, it's like they were made for eachother.
The way only 3 disabled cats in this entire series didn’t just immediately die, get packed into the elders den, or become a healer is sad honestly
Btw those three I mean are Brightheart (Lost one of her eyes), Deadfoot (was born with one of his front paws being crippled and useless and he still managed to be a warrior and eventually Riverclan deputy), and Crookedstar (broken jaw as a kit) and that’s literally it soejskje
Even Brightheart still has medicine cat skills smh
The Erin's need to see some videos of blind cats and cats with limited movement/limbs. They still get by very well.

We did get Volepaw/whisper recently in Exile from ShadowClan, but he basically vanishes from the canon after that one comic.
One thing warriors needs is a disabled character who doesn’t end up being another med cat. Bright heart is an example however she still can see fairly well even with her injury.
dead foot became deputy, and crookedstar became leader despite their injuries. damn, thunderclan has a huge ableism problem.

i cried so hard when jayfeather spoke at briarlights vigil. why? cuz he COULDN't speak. he physically couldn't cuz he was so sad

i love that the “dead weight” can be multiple things- obviously the disabilities the characters have is the dead weight they have to carry with them at all times, but they’re also scared of becoming the dead weight on their clanmates’ backs. scared of being useless. (also secret 3rd meaning is that disabled characters are a dead weight to the erins because they have no clue how to write them without making them medicine cats or killing them off) aaaaand i’ve said dead weight so much in this comment it’s starting to lose all meaning
I love how you designed Jayfeather and Briarlight. Jay's spiky fur and Briar's scars aren't something I've seen before, which is refreshing. You're a huge inspiration for me :3
I have to agree! Especially with Briarlight. I had always thought that because of her tail and knees dragging on the ground the fur would have been stripped off.

I always loved the relationship these two had. They knew they could always rely on each other no matter what. They were always there for each other. Briar never stopped caring for Jay, even when he was being a little grump, and Jay, in turn, never stopped caring for Briar. They cared for each other right until the very end.
Seeing Jay blame himself for her death was heartbreaking. You can tell he really loved her.

@@hoaxspiration4433 Yeah, back in the previous arc, A Vision of Shadows. She caught greencough and it accelerated really quickly because a lot of cats were sick, and she didn't tell Jayfeather right away because she didn't want to be a burden on him. When she passed away despite his best efforts, Jay blamed himself and broke down crying during her vigil. It was really, really sad, and showed just how much he loved her. ;_;
The fandom made a few MAPs for her after, and they're all amazing and heartbreaking.

This is simply gorgeous! I love how you show that their pain, although may seem the same on the surface,comes from widely different areas and is more prominent in some than others. Jayfeather feels like 'dead weight' immediately and all of the time and curses that fact yet Briarlight tries her best to be 'normal' and enjoys making others happy though no one ever tries to make her happy or understand her pain making her feel like 'dead weight.'
I also adore how you showed their respective disabilities, I wasnt sure how youd do it but I'm sure youd find an excellent way as your art is so so unique and pleasing to the eye. I love how Jayfeather simply doesnt have a pupil in his eye and this is normally usual of jayfeather fanarts but in your style really makes him seem other and 'bland', as hed see himself, as all the other cats have these wonderfully detailed pupils and irises. The loss of fur on briarlight's back is also so different and such a fresh character design for her which I think really adds to her hating her disability as it is so obvious and 'out of place.'
I'm also intrigued at the ending of the video, if it was a part of this idea or another one coming soon.. I'm excited to see it!

i'm literally unable to stop watching this. the expressions are amazing, the designs are so unique and it just really all ties together so nicely. it conveys that jayfeather is angry about his disablitiy, hence why he's so grumpy, and briarlight is grateful she's even alive but understands the feeling; shes sad about it but keeps her head up even while she's crying. in the end their dynamics were so wholesome and sweet in the books and i really think you did a great job showing that.

Wow, your art style, designs, & storytelling are all fantastic! I love the "ripples" of color in the dark background symbolizing distress - I struggle due to my own disabilities and this is a great abstract visualization of the emotions that can come with that, especially when paired with the facial expressions and context. Overall this video is just amazing, thank you for making it!

I absolutely adore this, you can tell what they're thinking just by watching an animation. Even if the words weren't there you could be able to tell how they're feeling. The coloring and contrasts are amazing, and it shows how they suffer inside no matter bow beyond are portrayed on the outside. Amazing work as always, guys!

The way you focused in on Jayfeather’s internal struggle coping with Briarlight’s disability I feel had a huge impact on me. The thought that those with disabilities, like Briarlight, are not the only ones who struggle accepting it is enlightening and a good choice for this song.

Another beautiful MV like... holy hell. I’m obsessed with your colors, in general, and I literally can’t stop thinking about the juxtaposition between Jay and Briar. Jay being so openly bitter and angry, and Briar hiding it and breaking down in secret. It’s gorgeous, but tragic.

I felt a lot of connection to this tbh. It seems that your intention with the message was different, but I interpreted it a lot as how both of these fully capable people in their own right feel as if they are dead weight, something that their society has made them feel, despite the accomplishments they have. no matter what they still feel like dead weight when they never were
