Will 16 GB RAM be enough for 4-5 years for normal usage without video editing or rendering at all. Also , my friend is using macbook pro 14 base model and when he opens 5-6 tabs or 7 in safari and nothing running in the background RAM usage is between 10 -12.30 GB RAM . Do you think it is normal or macbook works like this .
@@thidasketchbook thanks for the reply. Don't you think consuming this much RAM using just a few tabs open is a problem in mac os as if memory is low it will use SSD as swap memory and it will damage the SSD in logn term.

I think 16GB would be sufficient! I opened the same number of tabs in Safari and it takes 10.49 gb of ram. It looks to be normal to me

This is my first macbook so I'm not really sure! I've only had this for short amount of time but I think it'll be fine in the long term :)

The touch bar was a joke for the 13. Unanimously hated by mac owners. So not having the touch bar isnt unfortunate.
