3 years later and this video is still helping people (specifically me lol) very clear and concise and being able to see the button inputs is honestly something more guides for any speedrunning game should be doing. cheers. (current pb is a 42:xx pushing for a sub 40 with this)
yooooo!!! In an hour I went from having no idea how to pause buffer to being able to pull this trick of consistently, and it's entirely due to your video! Clearly explained, simple method and all around great stuff.
omg I can do bubsdrop now. For people who struggle with the "timing" in 2:14 Just mash the pause and jump buttons simultaneously. Just rapid-tap them both in sync to advance frame by frame. Once I tried that, it became super easy.
Thank you so much. SO MUCH. It used to be a gamble if I would get the trick or not. If I would get it 1st try, or 2nd, or even worse. Now with your setup I once got it 12 times in a row. TWELVE. THANK YOU.
Maybe I'm just dumb, but I had to watch this video about 7 times before finally figuring it out. Eventually it clicked for me "oh, I need to execute a jump that lasts exactly 1 frame" and pause buffering is the tool that makes that consistently achievable. Thank you for this. A huge roadblock in my speedrunning is now finally gone lol
thanks dude, for the easy trick. it just took me about 10min to figure it out. your way is much easier to execute than other methods i found. But your upload date is a bit unlucky. at first i thought it was a jocke.

Forget my comment from half a year ago. There's a better way:
Bind a key to both jump and pause. Mash that key. Ez.

Thank you so much! I was so confused how people did that!
I'm having trouble figuring out how to pause at the right time after the transition, how can I consistently pause on the first frame?
Thank you so much
