Viewed this video many years ago. I keep coming back to refresh my learning. Have made lots of many from printing my own prints. Over the years, I’ve managed to upgrade my camera and printer from consumer to professional and my overall skills and work have improved tremendously. However, I still use LR5 and achieve stellar results. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade from LR5 to LR12. Until then,,,,,,,,,I’m happy with L5.
You (ADOBE) should change the border dimensions to cm insteat of pt. Furthermore you need to allow to choose if people wants to create the border inside the choosen dimensions or outside. Thank you.
is it important to calibrate the display before doing the print.? I use a Macbook pro and and canon Pixma Pro 10. but i am finding its difficult to match picture with the display. Any Advise on this? thanks a lot
Working in windows, when I changed the color management, it rendered the images in Lightroom blank and I was not able to print from Windows Live Gallery. I had my tech guy repair it, but it was an issue. Can you advise? Thanks, Charles
The print settings dialog is much more limited now. I have no idea how I'm supposed to let Lightroom take control of icc profiles anymore on Mac. The option to turn off the printer's colour setting isn't there... BTW, I have a Canon Ipf Pro 4000
Is this video really for Lightroom 5 or an earlier version? Following Julieanne's directions when I click Print Settings in the lower left of the printer module, I get a choice for printer, not print, settings and there is no "Off (no color adjustment)" as a choice in color settings. The only choices I have are "Adobe RGB" or "EPSON Standard (sRGB)." I think Adobe just renamed this video for an earlier version without having Julieanne Kost actually use Lightroom 5.
How do you get a preview of the actual LR image before printing? Sometimes I pick a size, set the margins, do all my print adjustments, etc. but don't see a preview as in PS before the printing starts. It use to come up telling me the print size & paper size and this is important because sometimes it prints a 4x6 instead of a 5x7 and the print is useless and I have wasted ink and paper! I can't find a way to get a preview before pressing the final print button! Can you advise. This was a very helpful tutorial, well presented with extremely useful info. Thank you. I have become a big fan of anything "Julianne Kost
Julieanne, I was so surprised to see you in your long hair! Of course, this is not so important, as I love all your videos whether long or short (hair) hehe. Thank you!

So, if I want Lightroom to determine color management of the the image, but I'm
sending it to a lab for output, how do I do that?
Wy is that when i click on "profile" and then "other" (to choose Lightroom to color manage it) and the pop up window that appears is empty?
