I always feel reluctant to buy things for aesthetic because they aren't a necessity but as you said it's important to surround ourselves with pretty things... I find it hard to find the balance and know when it's right to do buy those things
I totally get what you mean, and I’ve struggled with that myself a lot! These days whenever I want to buy something aesthetic, I just ask myself the question whether it’s something I really want and if it’ll make me happy for the years to come, or if it’s just a whim I’ll regret getting later. That’s why I’m usually really slow deciding to buy something; I tend to think about it a lot 😅 But if I still want it even after thinking on it for a few weeks (or even longer), then I know for sure that it’s something, no matter how small, that’ll add something positive to my everyday life 🥰🤎🙏

I was also a very negative teenager, but as I grew up I learned to appreciate and find beauty in everyday life, and to be more positive in general, even when life gives you kids screaming outside your window 😂. Take care!
