Omega was my first big watch purchase - I bought a 44mm Planet Ocean with orange bezel, which I sold a couple of years later. Immediately regretted it, ended up buying a 42mm PO in black 6 months after that. I think the PO is far, far better than a Rolex sub. I've also got vintage Omegas too, the stuff from the 1960s and 70s are often both stunning and innovative for the time.

I'm glad you touch on proportion, as watch channel's rarely do so. Proportion is drastically more important than size. The reason people with small wrists can where one 42mm watch but not others, is down to proportion not size. Beauty is also intrinsically linked to proportion and symmetry, which is perhaps obvious to state, but so few brands/designers seem to take that seriously enough these days. Great video as always! Boom! Watch fam 🤗
Agreed. I think that’s why watches of different sizes can work well on the same wrist. And also only one watch may work between two watches of the same size
There is a reason my Seiko 5 wears so good!! Heck, I inherented a newer model Seiko chronograph (solar) from my uncle and I was staggered when i found out it was 45mm! Yes it looks big but still doable. Proportions is everything
Agree, I really want to thank the guys for addressing how some brands seem to dig their heels in when their customers ask for smaller case diameters. I'm one of those with small wrists and I feel the size range that is proportional and looks best is 36mm to 39mm. I just got rid of a beautiful watch that was 41.5 mm as it just looked way too big. Too many watches I want and would definitely buy are over 40mm. There is a Longines Conquest VHP where the men's watch is 41mm and 43. They have a women's watch that has the exact same design but is a 36mm, which I would definitely buy, but it's next to impossible to find those. Anyway, keep pushing brands to listen to their customers. Maybe if enough online review sites make noise about the issue, some may finally listen.

The perspective is one that I share. I have always mentioned that Rolex particularly ought to create something between 36 and 40 for MOST people. The 36 datejust for example is too small for a 7" wrist, while the 41 too large. I have also found this to be true for the Cartier Santos medium and large models. On the other hand the Omega Aqua Terra and Speedmaster in 38 both fit superbly. What makes things worse is that the Tudor black bay 58 is considered almost perfect by many at 39mm but Rolex fail to implement such sizing in their own range. Strange.

The new Omega Speedmaster feels so much slimmer smaller lighter and more refined than the previous one while keeping the classic Speedmaster look. It’s a awesome move and the Seamaster 300 heritage has had a similar tweak. Omega are on a roll. They just need to do a similar job on the Seamaster professional and take it back to a 41mm.

The Speedmaster in 40mm is actually the nicest one. They save that size for the Trilogy model. That's like the best one you can get for not so crazy money(yeah there's the Ed White, that's not large either and is silly money).

Just to add to your comments about Blancpain, when they do decide to do a 40mm, they make it a special edition (for which they need inputs from the likes of Hodinkee🙂, imo it’s the product team that needs laying off); and they usually put their brand name on the side of the case, just in case you forgot which watch you’re wearing and are too lazy to look at the dial!!!
I am having similar Omega 300 Seamaster Chronometer.........Super Semi-Vintage Omega!!!..........to me, my Seamaster is the Best Seamaster after current Omega "Tomorrow Never Dies"..........you should get this Omega 300 Seamaster Chronometer a after market Mesh Bracelet, trust me, you will not regret
Have a Omega speedmaster MW and Railmaster never had a issue with either. There very solid watches especially the Railmaster that watch has been through hell and back and refuses to give me a issue in any way. Also have a Explorer 1 but I'm done with Rolex I can't deal with that brand anymore a Zenith El primero open heart will be my next watch. The Rolex situation is mentally exhausting and just not worth the greif and its a bit of shame because I do like some of there watches
I think brands like blancpain definitely knows what the market really wants, but as a brand under cooperate structure, they really don't have the flexibility to do anything in the watch industry. They need allocation of all kinds of resources from its mother company and they have to be extremely patient with the market to react to it. It will result in lack of funding or performance from its sister brands which will affect the financials to its mother company as a whole. Thats why independents are much easier to make adjustments when trends shift and it reflects on today's market that mass majority of the madness comes from indes including Rolex.
Omega is a truly great brand with great heritage. I don’t understand why a lot of the Rolex fanboys languish on waiting list and pay double MSRP when Omega is doing what they do.
❤️
I think Omega may be my first luxury purchase, I'm leaning towards the aqua terra
Excellent choice. A watch that fits into almost any occasion.
It was my first big purchase, I went with an SMP 300. I can't recommend the brand enough, and the AT is a great piece

I have 3 omega and 3 rolex. The omega are slightly better Lumed and seem to have a much longer power reserve. Right now it's a dead heat between my omega world timer GMT and my Yachtmaster for wrist time....
25:22 - Your wish has been granted! OMEGA now offers the 007 Milanese bracelet in STAINLESS STEEL!
"Hello I am Christian, the curator of Theo and Harris." Even the automatic subtitle gets it. I didn't know it was a medical show.
Bon Iver sings a Witney Houston song, 'I can't make you love me', while playing piano which puts me on the edge of crying 🥺
Love the grandpa glasses
I really like the Globemaster, but it does wear large because of those long lugs.
Im dominating today😎⌚️✌️
you guys are like Nick Kroll and John Mulaney
Christian - there are other parts of California outside of Los Angeles
Rip Norm
LMFAO!!!
You guys are probably around my son's age...but I laughed out loud several times during this episode.
Keep up the good work!
Don't beleive anything these two JOKERS say. They are DEALERS, just like the Baldasar joker. They are sugaring their own cake, literally, in any way that is metaphorically possible. Spin - Doctors.
Get TJ on the show so we can all judge with out own eyes!
Yuck.
I literaly thought of Vince Vaugn(sorry for butchering) the way Theo talks whole video et voila, greetings, fun show boys, dont get wasted✌️
Got the John Mayer g shock, bracelet is going a little blue in some places from my jeans which is cool
Gotta snag those Blancpain special editions 😆
The Speedmaster in 40mm is actually the nicest one. They save that size for the Trilogy model. That's like the best one you can get for not so crazy money(yeah there's the Ed White, that's not large either and is silly money).

I love that la bloguethque Bon Iver video.. try his version of Hevenly Father from Sydney
Have you ever seen the “Save Miranda!” video on YT?
It’s like 10 years old (the golden age of the tube) and has a couple million views
Even though I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like either one of you in real life, I really enjoy your videos. Strange...
Michael you must watch Swingers. Immediately.
Omg. Christian and I would have been music friends like 10 years ago listening to sad Bon Iver songs haha
Blancpain Bathyscaphe 38mm is a great size imo
Yes, I agree the others are unwearable

I’m gonna go cry in my vintage bmw 😂
Just to add to your comments about Blancpain, when they do decide to do a 40mm, they make it a special edition (for which they need inputs from the likes of Hodinkee🙂, imo it’s the product team that needs laying off); and they usually put their brand name on the side of the case, just in case you forgot which watch you’re wearing and are too lazy to look at the dial!!!
That dial makes me hungry for pie.
You guys need to take a look at a Planet Ocean in 39.5.
Google jacket please! Come on Christian!
off by only $10k on the tiffany OP's they're more like $35k...
Wise choices
@@diavalus Ty 😁
feel like you guys were more pissed than usual in this vid
RADO has been making tungsten watches for like 50 years....
Swingers was THE BEST!!!
Very handsome guy on the left, his camera work must be very good as well
Omega is a truly great brand with great heritage. I don’t understand why a lot of the Rolex fanboys languish on waiting list and pay double MSRP when Omega is doing what they do.
Anna always thought Omega dominated.
Is it me or does that 300m bracelet remind you of a 90s fossil watch?
The 300m bracelet is iconic, Fossil can only dream to get there
