We are here today to honor our pastors, which is right to do before
the Lord. First Timothy 5:17 says, “The elders who direct the
affairs of the church well, are worthy of double honor, especially
those whose work is preaching and teaching.”
While we are continuously grateful for the many leaders who
serve in the many capacities that are required to keep Core Faith
a healthy and vital congregation, today we set aside, as an act of
thanksgiving, the position of elders, pastors, and bishops to honor
them for their very particular calling and their very particular
service unto the Lord.
