    4:02 If it's cold enough to the point that you need shoes because your feet are completely numb, then it won't get smelly because it won't get sweaty. It's only from wearing shoes when it's not cold enough to actually need them especially if it's literally too warm for shoes.

    I’ve tried yelling at my feet, it didn’t work. Maybe I can correct them following this video.

    What time of day is best to practice these exercises if you only can fit them in once a day? Is it better to do them in the morning to wake up the feet muscles, or better at the end of the day after feet have perhaps been in shoes and muscles are getting tired?

      Generally it would be ideal to do these in the morning so that your muscles are 'fresh' and also helps prime them to be activating properly throughout the day! But some plantar release at the end of the day after wearing shoes is also a great idea if you can fit it in.

    I have heel pain. Can I get some relief from this exercise.?

      These exercises are a great place to start, but it's impossible to say whether or not they will solve your issue without a full history and assessment! Best plan is to go slow and do 5-10 minutes a day consistently and see how your body responds.

    Great video and exercises. My knees turn inward a little bit. With the arch control exercise the movement must come from the hips, right? My glutes are weak, and it's impossible to keep my knees in that outwards position. Any tips please?

    • @thefootcollectiveaustralia1921
      @thefootcollectiveaustralia1921  3 года назад

      Thanks for the question Diane and sorry for the delayed response! Yes the movement does come from the hips - if you're struggling with it in single leg stance then it can be best to start off in double leg stance and doing some different movements (like a Hip Hinge - which we have another video on). Otherwise it's all about just getting more 'reps' - practice single-leg balance for 5-10 minutes a day and over time your hip control will improve!

    What shoes do you recommend for avoiding lazy feet. Ie what is the opposite of wearing arc support shoes like birkinstock which prevent the foot experiencing movement.

      Barefoot shoes. I use vivobarefoot shoes. There are other barefoot shoes like teevo and xero as well. They are all great.

      Freet Talus 3 are really nice soft shoes, with a completely flat thin sole, and a lovely wide toe area.

      We're big fans of Vivobarefoot, Leguano, Vibram Five Fingers and Xero - great range of styles and budgets in those 4 brands!

    What exorcise is good to strengthen the arch muscles? My feet fall inwards, no flat feet, the arch doesn't hit the ground but the side of my foot doesn't hit the ground either because they're tilted inwards. I just heard to get soles but then again soles can make the mussels lazy. Plus i want to walk and train barefoot with balance and that doesn't help... Any suggestions are welcome.
