Everytime I watch Fooster in games with dinosaurs I get reminded of the time he and Dan used to play The Isle.

For me it was a game called Carnivores 2. Great game concept. It’s a shame it hasn’t been updated for a modern game engine.
TheHunter: Primal doesn't exist anymore from my knowledge, so this game is like it's spiritual successor, or a much appreciated copy.

I believe the Rex “Meta” at the moment is a opportunistic hunter that also won’t turn down a already dead meal nor hesitate to scare off smaller carni. Also the other idea of family/pack hunting is currently being accepted.
To answer your question about T-rex being a scavenger: that theory is quite old, and has been disproven. Folks have done the math, and there's no way a carnivore that big could subsist on scavenging alone. The only modern animals that do that don't require much food (like flies and hagfish) or can travel huge distances with little effort (like vultures).
In addition, there have been plenty of dinosaur fossils found with healed bite marks that match T-Rex teeth, showing evidence of hunts that failed.

The Rex as a scavenger was a discredited theory by a man who had a chip on his shoulder about the animal for some reason. All predators will scavenge, btw.
one thing i love about fooster that he pays attention to his fan community and always reaches out for tips and help one of a kind good job fooster i cant wait for new uploads and if you ever played the scary game do you copy there is a sequel out called gracewind murder try it out sometime!!

Apparently according to the paleontologists the Rex did indeed do both. It wasn't just a scavenger, although all carnivores wouldn't just pass up an easy meal.
There's actual evidence on Triceratops frills that T-rex fought it. Bite marks in the frills have been found that match T-rex's teeth profiles. Not only that but the same specimen shows signs of healing. This triceratops survived its encounter with T-rex! Its really interesting to see.

The fact cormo it’s made a proper game is something I wish I knew about long ago. I’m still to this day playing both versions on my phone.
I read that they were scavengers as well, but from what I’ve been reading lately, it’s been back and forth on that topic. Kinda like the Spino being land or water, or quad or bi-ped

Imagine this kind of game within The Isle. The atmosphere would be incredible. Of course you’d need proper dinosaur AI because it’d be infuriating to anyone playing a dinosaur to spend 8 hours growing only to be sniped by a .50 cal. from the bushes.

Hey Fooster!, would like to shout out that i love your content Man! ive watched a few of your videos from a while back & recently started following/watching you again. want to say your content & the comradery you have with your friends & sometimes by yourself reminds me of the fun days I used to have with with my friends & I, when a solid plan would go to hell & it be nothing but laughter & mass confusion.
Has Fooster considered coming back to the Hunter Call of the Wild? They got plenty of new guns and maps since his last video.
T-rex wasn't a specialist scavenger. They know it hunted actively from damage on dinosaur skeletons which survived. It was also the only large carnivore in it's environment. Remember, it was big and slow, but so was its prey.

It’s been proven that T rex had binocular vision and could see movement and shape perfectly , they could smell blood for 6 miles away I believe and could run well over 40 mph. It would scavenge but it was very much a full time predator. Hope this helps!❤
They also had dexterous lips, and it’s being proposed they could have been about as smart as baboon and may have even had culture.
One of my university lecturers worked on the T-rex walking and running simulation modelling. They coudln't get anywhere near that fast as adults. Their ankle would break. Their maximum speed was that of a moderate jog for a human...

You’re definitely exaggerating, but it had sturdy legs, huge muscles and excellent senses. It was definitely a top predator in its environment, hunting big tough herbivores via ambush.
