Surely an outstanding rendition of this Ghazal and the matla (opening sher) of this Ghazal is "hasil-e-ghazal sher"! However I request that the Poet's name must also be written by those who post the ghazals. This is important as the new generation will then be motivated to search the other ghazals written by the same poet. As I find the new generation is more a product of What'sApp University, if I am allowed to use Ravish Kumar Sahab's (of NDTV fame) remark about this generation!

qadra bhai.. cannot thank you enough for all the gems of mehdi hassan sahab that you have made available for all of us. khansahab in his interviews says that his classical training was in dhrupad-dhamar and his early radio programs were of classical music. i was wondering if you might have any of these early recordings? it would be wonderful to hear khansahab's andaz in a purely classical mode.

And kindly some one also post on which Raag has Khan Sahab composed this ghazal. That too is important to educate, initiate and motivate our current generation in Classical Indian music. I find Indian Classical Music is the universal set (as per modern Algebra concept) because any western, middle eastern, african etc musical instrument one may find coming on the scene, the Indian Music is able to integrate it into the compositions our music directors compose. But the visa versa is not true e.g., veena, miridangam, tabla, sarangi, sarod, santoor, shehnai, dhapli, etc). Now please for God's sake kindly do not start and divert the beauty of our subcontinent's music by attributing country names here to spoil the pleasure which Khan Sahab and the poet have worked hard to make it possible for us to relish whenever we want on this channel.
