- This is the starting area after the prologue. You can see some item shop stuff at the beginning. I'm playing with high ping (around 200ms or more) so the combat could be faster than it looks here.

Finally a decent look at the game. It looked so bland on other people's videos, that I was worried that it was just an outdated graphical wanna-be MMO. It actually looks pretty decent, but I will watch your channel to see if I want to play it when it drops in the West.

Graphics are good, there are systems that are definitely promising and entirely new for a MMO but the combat is so 10 years behind.
if you dont like the combat just move on because people like playing Aion and there are people hate wow game because its ugly and boring.

ncsoft is the publisher not developer i guess .. or even if ncsoft is the developer .. blade and soul was developed by Team Bloodlust, hence why it was so nice @@alispeed5095

Years ago this very company reinvented tab target with bns combat.
Skip to the future and they have seemingly regressed back to 2001 combat ;)
Even tab target can be modernised. But we all know how much effort they applied to this game. Just mobile shit in disguise.

As a BDO player, TandL looks Wonderful and in every point better than what I am used too.
I love the animal transformation as a mount sytem and it's good to finally see one MMO that does not look like a mobile game.
BUT, I am not buying this combat system, it looks very old fashion
My concerns as well, would've been nice to swing swords and shoot arrows with amazing effects. Skills are what I look for in mmorpgs, leveling them up to make them look cooler is what I like in a game

I REALLY miss the combat of blade and soul. Yearssss passed and still no MMO did it better.
Lost Ark. But the game is quite toxic, not chill at all.
PS: BDO kinda similar too. But it's way too grindy. Not a chill game like Blade and Soul.
and it's been years since I played it but, Vindictus had pretty good combat too. Probably closest to BnS in terms of combat. It's not an open world game though.

@@rendermax okay that important for me. i dont want an system who enemies only drop crafting materials. and whats with armors and weapons ? are there many sets ? i mean in black desert online there was maybe 4 armor sets and the rest can you buy in shop.
@@ABIlSUso Blue Protocol wouldn't be for you then, cuz there you craft everything or Monster Hunter Online as well (think that one shut down tho)
@@symphonixblades Monster hunter is pretty good. But i an (real) mmo i want grind for armor and weapons and not for crafting materials 🤷

Is Throne and Liberty a pay to win game ? Im seeing many itens on the shop. I'd like to play this game when it comes to North America but I played many years Lineage 2 and I don't truste NC Soft games anymore. To be competitive in PVP on Lineage 2 nowadays you need to spend a price of a car in your character... I spent alot and i quit....

At first glance the combat seems ok and graphics look nice, but damn it is seem to be infested with mtx and totally irrelevant BDO fetching quests like. Also that mobile-ish UI design... eww (yes i'm aware you can play on mobile) and that MIR4 styled weapon enhanment.
I'll give it a try though, but i fear the story will suck, it's been happening for the last decade at least, MMORPGs became nothing but a cash grab of a service than a group of passionate people trying to tell a good and immersive story ...
the only critic i have to tell for now , is that in paddle or keyboard-mouse combo modes , the HUD scale control stays too big . they would have added some lower sizes , specially in paddle mode that i use to play . i don't play anymore with keyboard-mouse combo .

Reskined BDO with the same backbone, meaningless quests, mtx and gambling focus, old combat system, chore-grinding, empty content, obvious P2Win pvp, etc. All you get is your dressing doll waifu and the ability to turn into bird and rat. It's all about number values and milking, none about game play.
Yeah, I tried BDO for like two weeks and realized the gameplay is dull and there is no actual story. The game is just pretty - as is most Korean made MMORPGs. I am worried about Crimson Desert though as it’s made by the same company that did BDO but it’s a single player based RPG.

Game looks fantastic, the two negatives to me so far are that the mobs seem to be absolutely BRAINDEAD and obviously huge worry about NCsoft making it overly pay to win.

The rest offered by Project TL, I mean Lineage 3, I mean Project TL, I mean Throne and Liberty, is an RNG laden grindfest with numerous fetch quests for you to waste your time on. There will be some ULTRA-LEWD skins you can buy for $60-$160 USD, probably through an RNG lootbox. This is a scam that 99% of the MMO community will fall for.

@@Kayune The voice acting is still in Korean and they want to release it in English obviously. Also, there is the matter of bureaucracy. They can't just release it on a whim.
