The actress who plays the Princess also plays Princess Suihe in Ashes of Love and I'm living for it. She's so good at playing entitled Princesses. Props to her.

It doesn't necessarily change at all. It's a different love story line. Tmpb's is a love story between Baiqian and Ye hua. The story lines of feng jiu and dijun are only briefly mentioned and have not been unfolded. It is normal that what you are seeing is different from tmpb.

I think I finally understand his nightengale quote now. I read up on the backstory if the nightengale by Hand C Anderson where the quite is from. He wrote the story about his own unrequited love and it's about making sure the one you fall for can live you back. It also speaks as warning for Zihe, in the story the emperor had chosen the mechanical sing over the real nightengale bird. After too many rejections, the bird only turns up again when the emperor is dying. It is said the bird song and sincerity moves death to allow the emperor more time. I think it means DH is sensing FJ feelings fir him and trying to warn her away in his own way while telling his spoiled Forster sister to back off.
Now that am rewatching this drama.. I understand and love it better.. now I appreciate it even more... Hardly ever come by drama that capture my attention for such a long time... to all the people that made this masterpiece a success..... you're all the real MVP..

Princess doesn't get it, the food can't express her love, adoration, and/or passionate lust for Dong Hua, because she didn't do any work to gather her own materials. All they end up doing is showing him nothing, since she didn't do any work and asked others to make the food for him ~ It is no wonder that her pastries have no flavor, since they are bland and emotionless like the Princess, and her cold non-existent heart ~ Clearly, by making our Vixen do all the work, everything is only going to remind him and taste like her passion, and her self-less pure love ~
Correct, the only thing she does is assume she deserves him when she never put work into anything except for being her nasty, conniving, lying self. I believe that he knows she is not preparing any of the food items even though she might tell him that she is. As soon as he doesn't like something she will surely blame someone else for it.

She lives in his palace because he owes her parents a debt for raising him, and that debt trumps any bratty demands she makes or unreasonable action she takes. Even if she pisses him off, he would never leave her fighting for survival. She's not in his palace because it's her only mean to live, it's because she has romantic feeling for him and wants to get ahead of other women. She's using the life-long debt to manipulate his tolerance toward her nasty schemes. Like OP said, her love doesn't have passion, just full of entitlement from her parents' good deeds.
Zhihu’s jealousy with Xiaojiu’s beauty; Fengjui’s sorrowless pastry and sweet and sour fish gets Dong Hua’s attention but still he doesn’t really notice Fengjui, just her cooking skills and tells her to stay/work in the kitchen; Yan gets tricked to doing chores around the palace
I think it’s good he didn’t fall for her as a maid. It’d be yucky for me that the most powerful god in the world and basically her employer would fall for a maid. I think it’s sweet enough he noticed her when he rarely even looks at anyone.
Feng Jiu has the best daydreams. I love the moments from 27:40 to 28:20. So adorable! Dong Hua is cunning, but can he match Feng Jiu? She's pretty crafty too! 😂
Si Ming reached nirvana due to Dong Hua's terrible cooking and worrying about Feng Jiu! I laughed at poor demon lord Yan, getting tricked into doing chores, but in the end it will all turn around on the emperor, when he will have to see Yan for the rest of infinity, since he becomes Feng Jui's best friend.

Did u notice that smirk on his face after si Ming ate the full fish, brilliant performance by the actor so many varied emotions in just that 5 minute scene. His pretend annoyance at the third price eating his fish, his amusement at forcing si Ming to eat it, subsequent curiosity (look of oh he didn’t just faint) at how si Ming faints to stop himself from eating, when zhihe opens her mouth it is when he is cold emperor again (he is most annoyed when she talks especially her love nonsense he even looks angry, he is wishing her away with the wave of his arms to get lost, he knows she is lying about the cake with the slight raise of his eyebrows. I think him playing tricks on someone is his way of saying he likes them. He found demon lord yan amusing not a bad person, it is Dong hua style of initiating friendship. This episode got me obsessed with Dong hua character, he has so many blink you will miss subtle changes in expression that say so much without saying anything at all.

OJO SPOILERS!!! No leer si no han visto la primera serie!!! Sí, también fueron mi segunda pareja favorita! Quedé triste con el final que les dieron a ellos en Eternal Love y me emocioné muchísimo cuando descubrí que habia un sequel de la historia. Pero lo que me deja perpleja es que no coincide con el final de la otra historia donde ellos ya se habian conocido, pasado juicio en la tierra y ella al final termina siendo reina pero sin poder estar junto a Dijun. Me da la impresión de que este sequel, ya no es una continuación de la primera parte sino otra versión de esta historia de amor, lo que en parte me deja con la boca amarga porque me esperaba una historia en la que Fengjiu como reina hiciera hasta lo imposible para salvar a su amado de una eterna vida solitaria. De todas formas voy a ver esta serie hasta el final, con la esperanza de que esta vez Dijun y Fengjiu tengan su merecido final feliz😉!

Rewatching the drama for the 6th time already. 🥹 For those like me who can't get enough of the main pair, I suggest reading "Back to Chaos in a Dream" 🩷 after reading that, the entire journey of Fengjiu staying by Donghua's side will be much, much more sweeter istg!! In this drama, there's an emphasis on how Fengjiu's affection will never be returned because Donghua is desireless; it's simply not fated and even those close to the two of them always believed that - until finally, her hardwork bore fruit. But in "Back to Chaos in a Dream" you'll see that Fate truly has nothing on the two of them 🥹 There's simply no life where Donghua doesn't love Fengjiu!

Chan Tszki 现在剧都快播完了，确实火的一塌糊涂，剧情越来越高能，高度贴合原著，演员演技炸裂，虽然前期也有小的不足和遗憾，但是绝对是瑕不掩瑜，真的是非常精彩的一部剧。现在口碑非常好，整个剧组和演员都是非常用心的，作为原著粉，我是非常满足的。

Did u notice that smirk on his face after si Ming ate the full fish, brilliant performance by the actor so many varied emotions in just that 5 minute scene. His pretend annoyance at the third price eating his fish, his amusement at forcing si Ming to eat it, subsequent curiosity (look of oh he didn’t just faint) at how si Ming faints to stop himself from eating, when zhihe opens her mouth it is when he is cold emperor again (he is most annoyed when she talks especially her love nonsense he even looks angry, he is wishing her away with the wave of his arms to get lost, he knows she is lying about the cake with the slight raise of his eyebrows.
I think him playing tricks on someone is his way of saying he likes them. He found demon lord yan amusing not a bad person, it is Dong hua style of initiating friendship.
This episode got me obsessed with Dong hua character, he has so many blink you will miss subtle changes in expression that say so much without saying anything at all.

Sí, también fueron mi segunda pareja favorita! Quedé triste con el final que les dieron a ellos en Eternal Love y me emocioné muchísimo cuando descubrí que habia un sequel de la historia. Pero lo que me deja perpleja es que no coincide con el final de la otra historia donde ellos ya se habian conocido, pasado juicio en la tierra y ella al final termina siendo reina pero sin poder estar junto a Dijun. Me da la impresión de que este sequel, ya no es una continuación de la primera parte sino otra versión de esta historia de amor, lo que en parte me deja con la boca amarga porque me esperaba una historia en la que Fengjiu como reina hiciera hasta lo imposible para salvar a su amado de una eterna vida solitaria.
De todas formas voy a ver esta serie hasta el final, con la esperanza de que esta vez Dijun y Fengjiu tengan su merecido final feliz😉!
