I have to say I have a lot of respect for Ricky not leaving but backing up Lex and stepping up and working to reearn his position as head chef. He got kicked in the teeth by Gordon and still bought in, way better than most of the people on this show.

I agree he needed more confidence, but I can’t help but think he was set up to flail on relaunch night. It’s his first night leading a restaurant kitchen, with a completely new menu, yet they ensure the place is absolutely packed to the rafters.

This is definitely one of the episodes where the show set them up. New head chef, new POS, new manager now go with a full kitchen when you usually have 3 tables
I love how to manager learned to manage through being there for people’s emotions like reminding them to breathe, instead of trying to play the role of a boss like some managers, and the boss really was able to step up, to be the boss in being the one to tell people what to do!
It looks like the staff takes advantage and it's a joke. Ppl will get fired for stealing and other ppl knew. On top of that they decide when they are going to leave when they feel like it. Looks like the restaurant needs a clean sweep of staff and this owner needed Gordan to come and help her. As a chef you would be able to taste and know what food is what. It's not easy being a chef. Great episode!
