The pin with the tip is a Boutonniere Pin/Corsage Pin. With a safety "tip". Nice hunt! Love that you take time to show us the ocean and the birds! I live by the Great Lakes - but its so very different than the oceans.
What a hunt Bill! Great variety as well as quantity, with a JACKPOT scoup ta boot…well done sir and always nice to see Christine in the wrap up when she’s not able to dig. Keep DigginSoCal!
Nice haul and so much variety. I carry cloth grocery bag attached to belt (now 2, one on each side) and pick up trash as I go along metal detecting, I find myself now checking the high trash areas and working those areas at the same time. Almost like trash picking has become my primary thing to do then metal detecting is just a reason to find trash. Good morning today though - 2 rings and a 18k bracelet @ 6,6 grams Yoo Hoo.
The little tiny guitar is wicked cool. Man at first you were not sure how the hunt was going to go.. Nailing the Rings Awesome. so much trash you picked up too. Many many tent stakes. What a Hunt Bill.. Happy Hunting. Peace
Yes, Huntington Beach has not been our favorite place to go. When I got there I decided I would pick up everything I could and although I was joking about Karma, I kept telling the beach to reward me for my efforts...lol. The bag sure got heavy and I think I threw away over 100 bottle caps. crazy
So many cool finds. The dog ring is Bluey from a kid’s show of the same name, my granddaughter would love it. Enjoy watching your hunts and your wrap ups:)
Hey Bill! wow! you did great out there! you got those rings and all those coins. Your hunt wouldn't have been complete without finding tent stakes. I'm glad Christine was able to join you for the wrap up, I was wondering if that yellow surfboard was abandoned. I never saw anyone around it. Good job today. Looking forward to the next video. Take care guys.
I did do good especially since I don't usually do well at HB and there were so many detecting. I also think the surfboard was left behind? I was thinking maybe they broke it but I figured they might have left it to go to the bathroom or something....
What an amazing hunt! Thanks for showing us what your put in the trash, I think it helps people that are new see that they aren’t the only ones getting stuff like that. Awesome find on the Blue Line Cross💙💙💙!
Thank you... yes, we collect a lot more trash than we normally show. It is part of the hunt. I get a little frustrated following other detectors who leave it behind but I will take it to the trash. It does not take a lot of effort. The cross is def cool
Its truly amazing how some people are so lazy abt trash and the damage it causes especially to the beaches and marine wildlife! Thx again both you and Christine are good people🤙
Thanks... most of the time the blue stripe on a flag or item is in support of law enforcement.... Christine did not like the puzzle ring. I think she has had a bad experience with one...lol
Christine is gonna have to practice the sounds of construction equipment including the beep beep back up alarm. Also, Buddy is funny and curious like a cat, which he is.
Love the way you guys leave toy cars, tractors etc until the end and then keep hinting to Christine about it (and to build up the anticipation) so eventually she gives in and makes 'the noise.' Its one of many highlights in your videos. Also the look in Diggin' Buddy's eyes as he's peering over the table edge... Really look forward to each video you guys put out, as its a highlight of each week of mine. p.s. I thought the pin with blue tip might have been from a hair brush?
The majority have come up with the same thing about the pin... Yeah sometimes I have to really work at getting a sound out of Christine... it is as if she is teasing me...lol
Buddy had me laughing so hard! His green eyes looked like they turned grey and matched his cat claws perfectly as he was focused like a laser beam on that table. What a pose! Your artistic layout surprised me, too, 😂 and so many great finds. The “ three guys” were actually identical Sacred Heart of Jesus medals. I’ve never seen more than one on a piece of jewelry. If it was homemade, perhaps it was meant to represent The Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Lastly, my closest friend used to live one block from Huntington Beach 🏖️ and she NEVER bothered to go there. Crazy! We used to drive three days to get to Venice Beach so we could spend 10 days roller skating the boardwalk from Marina del Rey to Santa Monica. This was back in the ‘70’s before all the tent stakes were “planted”.
I agree... counted 8 people detecting and had a chance to talk to two very nice guys... the rest kinda avoided contact...kinda funny. I was surprised to do that well there....
I haven’t been to a Ca. beach in years. I was in San Diego about 8 yrs. ago. Love the weather in Ca. I would make a display board of my bottle caps. LOL
Missing the beaches... Back in CO.. but I'll be up that way probably in the Winter darn it..... I missed the summer there... Okay, off to watch more videos...
Wow Bill! Your reveal is so artistic today. Feeling creative? Noice! 23:20 I'm wondering if this pin is a bristle out of a brush? Bill, can a bullet explode without being fired from a gun? Is it a danger to have one on the beach? Those rings today were amazing, and the way you included some nature shots in the footage was really nice. Christine, I love the way Buddy cuddles you. I was feeling creative...lol. Someone else mentioned the pin and I think you two are correct. That being a bristle to a brush makes total sense. As far as the bullet. They are generally safe and won't fire without the primer being struck. Of corse fire can cause them to explode which adds a danger to firefighters. Makes you wonder who was carrying a gun or just bullets while at the beach??? Buddy loves Christine but likes me because I feed him most of the time...lol.
Good hunt. When you see Gary again, please tell him to tell his cousins to leave the cat food outside alone. There's about 30 seagulls and 2 doves swarming me when I feed my neighbors cats. The cats have adopted my house as their new home. I don't mind because they are really friendly. Lol.
Hahaha, thanks. They love to get the food and dip it in the water bowl to soften it up. Actually I try to throw them some food too so they will leave me the cats alone.
Hi SoCal I'm new to the beach detecting and need a scoop but don't want to make the mistake buying wrong and having to rebuy. I want a strong, quality built scoop that will last and travel easily as I have no beaches nearby and have to fly to areas that do. Looking for advice from you and the detector community who have tried several on what scoop you like best and why? Thanks for the help, really appreciate it. Mark
Hum. No scoop is super easy to transport but tee use two. My choice is the Xtreme which is rock solid and Christine uses one from CKG. it is lighter and nearly as good in my opinion. The carbon fiber handles on both come in two pieces so they can be broken down to half the length. They can be bagged like gold clubs. Hope that helps
Could you explain your experience with the manticore? Is it a love hate relationship., etc. I want to pick one up but I hear so many issues that it is such a big learning curve.
I was reluctant to use it when I first got it because I do like the Equinox so much. But after using it, I don't really have anything bad to say about it. It has found some great things and with the update it is even better. It is light and I feel very easy to use. If I had to pick one thing I did not like about it, I would have to say it uses a lot of battery. This hunt took the battery down to well under half but that was a 6 hour hunt so is that really a bad thing? I have the Equinox 800 and the 900 is suppose to be an upgrade and retails for about 1100 where the Manticore is about 1600. The real question is whether it is worth another 500? The only learning curve for me was there is a larger spectrum of VDI numbers than what I was use to. The basic operations are as easy to figure out. I think where people have issues is when they try and get more intricate with the settings but I only use preset hunting options since I figured Minelab did a good job creating them? Not sure if all that helped....lol
Bill do you know those are bottlecaps when you did them? Seems like you are digging more with the Manticore than the Equinox. Another fun video, by the way. Bill
For the most part with both machines I have a pretty good idea that I am probably digging up a bottle cap. Both detectors have good tells. The bottle caps come in really good and I have learned the sounds and VDI's of them. So, that said... I do like to get them out of the ground and to the trash so I do not mind digging them and once in a great while, I do get a nice surprise because it is not a bottle cap.
Great videos, keep up the good work. i see you use the deus2 and manticor, whits one do you recommend? i am in for a new machine and i am stuck between these 2
Cute. Your first ring is BLUEY! Wonderful kid's show. My youngest granddaughter loves it. Nice Blue Lives Matter cross. Preowned Michael Kors Rose Gold Tone Pyramid Ring $15. on Posh Mark. Seagulls, Mine mine mine mine mine.
Thanks... yeah, a couple others are saying that their grandkids watch Bluey. I had no idea who the dog was... now I do. I like the Blue Lives Matter cross and I tried testing the ring but the metal is so hard it won't even leave a mark to test.... still a cool but ugly ring...lol
Hello to bill! Good-morning! How are you doing? Let’s go to find things and Diggin’! Have a fun and enjoy the treasure hunts!
Good day... a fantastic HB hunt.... off to the next adventure.. thanks
Buddy seems pretty happy, heading to the beach Sunday.
He is spoiled... and a little thief. Good luck.
Haha how cool a Bluey ring! Bluey is an Australian cattle dog and is a star in the animated show Bluey.
Yes... I now know that... pretty cool. Gonna have to see the grandkids know who it is
That was a lot of birds out there. Nice haul today. Funny the cat was looking to see what he could snatch of the table.
LOL...he does love to steal stuff off the table. Anything he can grab is a toy
The pin with the tip is a Boutonniere Pin/Corsage Pin. With a safety "tip". Nice hunt! Love that you take time to show us the ocean and the birds! I live by the Great Lakes - but its so very different than the oceans.
The views are what make beach hunting so fun... so much to see. Thanks for the intel
You had a great hunt! Birds and rings oh my.😮
Yes, it was a better hunt than I expected. I can't complain anymore about HB
Awesome hunt. I love the puzzle ring and cross. Those were nice. The Michael Kors ring was a cool find. I like the green one, it was different. 💖💯
HB had so much stuff! Even with almost a dozen people detecting, you still crushed it! Awesome hunt!
Good morning Bill and Christine! Great hunt Bill! Buddy is so cute!!!
Thank you.... yes, he ended up being our best find...
The ocean is so beautiful, so peaceful. Would so love to see it someday, great hunt
Yes, you really need to see it. So nice to just sit and enjoy
What a hunt Bill! Great variety as well as quantity, with a JACKPOT scoup ta boot…well done sir and always nice to see Christine in the wrap up when she’s not able to dig. Keep DigginSoCal!
Great hunt Bill .great finds and great ocean view . Congratulations on everything .ty for sharing .loved the birds
Thank you very much and one of my favorite parts of beach hunting is being able to enjoy the sights.
Nice haul and so much variety. Nice finds and I should keep a bag with me...would be easier. I may try that and then just empty it when I pass a can. Thanks
Good morning guys! Not too bad Bill. Buddy is cute checking out your finds.
Thanks Nora... He likes to pull stuff off the table... too cute.
Great Hunt Bill. Absolutely Love your layout! So Fun ❤❤❤ Still waiting for the Merman to show up at the Beach
Awesome finds
Thank you
WOW Huntington turned out to be a decent haul for sure. Looking forward to more of the same!
Sure was a shock for me... never do great there...
The little tiny guitar is wicked cool. Man at first you were not sure how the hunt was going to go.. Nailing the Rings Awesome. so much trash you picked up too. Many many tent stakes. What a Hunt Bill.. Happy Hunting. Peace

@@DigginSoCal what is more crazy are the people who drink Alcohol in the heat.. Not a great way to stay hydrated..
Very nice hunting 😊
God bless you two.❤
Thank you Emilio...
Gary on his board, how cool.Your having a ringa ding ding day today.👍
Gary likes surfing apparently...not a bad haul.
So many cool finds. The dog ring is Bluey from a kid’s show of the same name, my granddaughter would love it. Enjoy watching your hunts and your wrap ups:)
Awesome, thanks for sharing. Keep diggin SoCal😻
Thank you Julie
Hi guys
Maybe buddy wants to go hunting. He sees all the good stuff and smells good to. Very interesting cat
Thanks for sharing
Thanks.. not sure how he would react to the beach. He would be amazed at how big that litter box is...lol
Hey Bill! wow! you did great out there! you got those rings and all those coins. Your hunt wouldn't have been complete without finding tent stakes. Nice hunt Bill. It could be the pin with the blue tip came out of a hairbrush.
Thanks...that is what most are saying....probably so
Wat a day..great digs my friend, thx 4 cleaning beach
It sure was and you are welcome... I really do not mind running back and forth to the trash.
Its truly amazing how some people are so lazy abt trash and the damage it causes especially to the beaches and marine wildlife! Thx again both you and Christine are good people🤙
Nice treasures my friend 🎉 taker care
Great hunt! Love the cross, that blue stripe down the middle of it is unusual. Hi Christine! It's a ring and tent stake day! ❤️❤️😃
Thanks... most of the time the blue stripe on a flag or item is in support of law enforcement.... Christine did not like the puzzle ring. I think she has had a bad experience with one...lol
Thank you Bill for sharing this awesome content
Sounds tranquil. Beautiful thanks for sharing
Christine is gonna have to practice the sounds of construction equipment including the beep beep back up alarm. Also, Buddy is funny and curious like a cat, which he is.
Buddy is always taking stuff of the tables...crazy lil guy...lol. Yes, she will have to perfect sounds...
Once again great hunt!!!
Thank you
Morning ☕. Very nice hunt Bill👍🤓👍
Thanks... was fun. Met a few others detecting... always nice when they are nice back...
Wow what a fine with the bullet. A lot of tent stakes today and cool rings.
I think I have found a .22 on a beach but bullets on the beach are rather rare. Makes you wonder....
Looks like a nice hunt.
Yes... We don't usually do very well at Huntington Beach but this time I did have some cool finds.
What a great wrap-up display 🎉❤
Thanks... my artistic side...
Boom what a great hunt!
Thanks.... HB does not usually produce much but this time it was a fun hunt... 6 hours
You guys are great entertainment while I’m working. Nice hunt once again Billster!
Another great hunt! The tiny blue tipped metal thing at 6:21 is a hair brush bristle.
I'm halfway through and you've really hit a ring run... cool!
Yes..not bad...
Great hunt on the beach and even picking up most of the trash. :) Yeah
Thanks... I was pleased with the finds because I do not normally do well at HB....
Great haul today, all those birds made me have a flashback to the birds movie. Be safe
Some nice finds
Thanks... Huntington Beach was much more giving this time
WoW, that's a Surprise to Me, To See a Surfing Gary ...... LoL 🤣🤣🤣
Yes... they do like to sit on almost anything. I have come back to my truck to find them on the roof.... how dare they
Buddy is the best!
I agree... our best find...lol

Thanks... had no idea until I was cleaning it and the inside came loose...
Great video and hunt. Congrats on the 4 rings and other jewelry. Really enjoyed your video thanks. G. 👍😃
Was that Gary on the surfboard. Glad to see you take him hunting with you!
It was Mrs. Gary and she found some great stuff

I agree... counted 8 people detecting and had a chance to talk to two very nice guys... the rest kinda avoided contact...kinda funny. I was surprised to do that well there....
Peenies are all over the place on my Equinox 700 as well but the copper ones are usually around 61
Yes... never a lack of pennies. VDI numbers are the same on the 800. The Manticore is totally different.
@@DigginSoCal Yes I see the Vanquish is not jumpy on pennies, but the Equinox 700 is as I see the Manticore is too.

Well done, my friend. Thumb up and subscribed. ❤
Bill, I say that the plastic ring counts.❤🎉
There are even rubber rings out there now.
OK.... sweet. I have found one rubber ring at Seal Beach once...
Saludos desde Chicago 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello.... Thanks for watching
You are getting the stuff.
Indeed... thank you
Not sure if anyone mentioned it in comments yet but that little pen with the blue tip is a hairbrush bristle
They have and thanks... I agree
The plastic ring was “Bluey” an Australian cartoon 😝 about a dog & his family
That pin with the blue tip is from a hairbrush, Ive found alot of them.
Copy that... thank you
I think the stick pin you found is part of a hair brush... I have a purple one and I lose the brush pins all the time. This is what I think it is.
Never seen so many tent stakes in my life!!
You're hunting post the OP Surfing event may have helped the increase in finds. Nice any way you look at it.
That pin with the blue tip is a bristle from a dog brush.
The verdict is a brush... thanks
Another good video. Could you please tell me what handle you are using on the sand scoop.
The sand scoop is from Xtreme and it came with a carbon shaft. The handle is plastic and came with it.
@@DigginSoCal cool thank you.
Hello Bill and Christine
Greetings
Thumbs up buddy 😎
That blue tip thing I believe was a hair brush tip
Cool ring
6:20 is going to be a hairbrush bristle with a plastic dipped tip to not scratch one’s scalp.
Yes, that seems to be the verdict... thank you
My Meeka puts her front paws up on my knees when I'm in the toilet, then reaches up her arms, like Buddy does, so that I pick her up. :Sometimes, she reaches too far and starts to fall over backwards until I catch her. 😂 Have a good run up to the weekend guys.
@@DigginSoCal Thanks for that, Bill. 😁 Cats certainly know the hand that feeds them hahahahaha 🙂
I think the little pin with the blue tip is part of a hairbrush.

I will spread the word but they don't listen...stubborn and greedy. That is kinda funny.
Hahaha, thanks. They love to get the food and dip it in the water bowl to soften it up. Actually I try to throw them some food too so they will leave me the cats alone.
Hey, great hunt! As a Canadian, I loved the dime. And, count me in on the Xterra give away please! Cheers!
I like the ring 😂
Thank you
You found a Bluey ring. Very popular cartoon in Australia.
OK, I was not sure who that was...thanks

23:21 😊 is the blue tip pin be from a spiky hairbrush ❤
Yes... that seems to be the verdict... thanks
On the Michael Kors website all of his rings are precious metal plated but still expensive.
Very cool.... nice find even if the ring is kinda ugly...lol
The cross with blue line looks like a police thin blue line cross.
That was my first thought...
😊Nice job
Thank you. Huntington has not been a great place to hunt..over detected but did pretty good this time.
