@Iyas kelu What do you mean, we need 4 wives? It is a possibility, there is no need.
@Iyas kelu Allah said, “ If you fear you might fail to give orphan women their ˹due˺ rights ˹if you were to marry them˺, then marry other women of your choice-two, three, or four. But if you are afraid you will fail to maintain justice, then ˹content yourselves with˺ one woman.”
@Iyas kelu the political Muslim takes the Quran literal when a true Muslim takes it has a metaphor allowing the message to touch their hearts in their unique path.

Some Christians claim that the Quran has a scientific error in it regarding sperm production.
This is incorrect again. The critic focuses on the verses 86:6-7, especially verse 7 as this is where their contention is directed. The critic claims the Quran (86:7) is telling us that semen is produced between the backbone (sulb) and the ribs (tara’ib). The Arabic words mentioned by the Quran are sulb and tara’ib. Tara’ib is thought to mean ribs, though there is some dispute. However, the chief point of interest is the word sulb. Sulb can be translated as ‘loins’ or ‘backbone’ or ‘lower back’. The critic favours the translations which use the word ‘backbone’ as they use it to attack the Quran by claiming the Quran teaches that semen is produced between the backbone (sulb) and the ribs (tara’ib).
However, the critic is very selective in deciding which translation to use as he/she avoids the numerous translations which translate ‘sulb’ as ‘loins’. They avoid these translations as they scupper their critical claims straight away as loins. Here, the word loins refers to:
a. The region of the hips, groin, and lower abdomen.
b. The reproductive organs. (1)
So the critic refrains from using this translation for the word sulb as it is clearly scientifically accurate, ie the semen is produced in the are between the loins and ribs. So, if we translate the Quran (86:7) this way there is no contention. The misleading methodology of the critic is to avoid mention of the numerous translations which translate the word sulb as loins. Not only do they avoid mentioning the numerous translations using the word ‘loins’ they highlight translations which use the word ‘backbone’. This is rather deceptive, especially considering a number of non-Muslim translators, including a Christian translator, translates it as ‘loins’ ( A.J Arberry, George Sale, J.M Rodwell and Henry E Palmer) as well as a number of Muslim translators who also use the word loins (Hamid S Aziz, Muhammad M Ghali, Muhammad M Pickthall and Mohammad Asad) (4). It is unscholarly as well as misleading on the part of the critic not to mention this important fact.
However, the critic does use Abdullah Yusuf Ali’s translation which translates it as ‘backbone’, therefore rendering a meaning of between the backbone and ribs. So the critic understands the Quran as teaching us that semen is produced between the backbone and ribs. In the way of intellectual honesty I do not want the reader to believe that only Abdullah Yusuf Ali translates this verse by using the word ‘backbone’, Shakir and Khan/Hilali also do this. The question still remains; which word should be used in the translation?
Well, the critic does not tell you that Dr Edward William Lane’s Lexicon indicates the word sulb’ to mean ‘loins’ and even refers to the verse in question (86:7) as referring to the ‘loins’. So it does seem that the more accurate translation of this would be “between the loins and the ribs” as opposed to “between the backbone and the ribs” (4). Hence the critic uses the weaker translation.
However, even if we assume the critic to be correct and take the translation; “between the backbone and the ribs” we still see no scientific error. The critic assumes that the ejaculate (semen) emanates from the testes, this is incorrect. Sperm is produced in the testes and is then transfered to the seminal vesicles awaiting ejaculation, the=is accounts for 5 % of the ejaculate, the rest of the ejaculate comes from the seminal vesicles (46-80%),with the prostate gland and the bulbourethral and urethral glands producing the rest of the ejaculate (2). At the time of ejaculation, all this (semen, which contains the sperm) is released
From the seminal vesicles which are in fact between the backbone (coccyx, lower back) and the ribs! So if we run with the translation of the critics we see something that people would describe as a scientific miracle and not a scientific error.
Osama Abdallah says the same thing but goes into a little more detail (bracketing is mine):
“If one was to insist upon the literal meaning (the translation favoured by the critics), one would still find that the Quran is 100% correct literally, too. The seminal vesicles are anterior to the sacrum and coccyx (lower back, loin) and the ribs are anterior to the seminal vesicles.
If one was to draw a line from the tip of the coccyx, to the upper portion of the seminal vesicle _ either one of the two_ and extend the line forward it will catch the ribcage. The seminal vesicles from which the semen spurts out during coitus, lies between the ribs and the coccyx (backbone)!” (3)
The irony is that the critics accuse the Quran of making a scientific error yet the error is on their part as they only believe it to be an error as they wrongly believe semen emanates from the testes, while in fact in emanates from the seminal vesicles which are in between the backbone and the ribs! So now we all know the critics are being unfair, unscholarly and misleading when they claim the Quran (86:6-7) tells us that semen is produced in the kidneys etc.

The Quran contains many Prophecies that have been fulfilled,
The first two prophecies are noteworthy: unlike any other world scripture, the Quran prophesizes its own preservation under divine care, and we will demonstrate how it actually occurred.
The Protection of the Quran from Corruption
The Quran makes a claim no other religious text makes, that God Himself will keep its text safe from alteration. God says:
"Behold, it is We Ourselves who have gradually revealed this reminder, and, behold, it is We who shall truly guard it [from all corruption]." (Quran 15:9)
The Ease of Memorizing the Quran
God has made the Quran easy to memorize:
"And in truth We have made the Quran easy to remember; who, then, is willing to take it to heart?" (Quran 54:17)
The ease with which Quran is memorized is inimitable. There is not a single scripture or religious text in the world that is as easy to memorize; even non-Arabs and children commit it to memory easily. The entire Quran is memorized by almost every Islamic scholar and hundreds of thousands of ordinary Muslims, generation after generation. Almost every Muslim has some portion of the Quran memorized to read in his prayers.
The Twofold Prophecy
Before the rise of Islam, the Romans and the Persians were two competing superpowers. Romans were led by Heraclius (610-641 CE), a Christian Emperor, whereas the Persians were Zoroastrians led by Khosrow Parviz (reigned 590-628 CE), under whom the empire achieved its greatest expansion.
In 614, the Persians conquered Syria and Palestine, taking Jerusalem, destroying the Holy Sepulcher and the ‘True Cross’ carried to Ctesiphon. Then, in 619, they occupied Egypt and Libya. Heraclius met them at Thracian Heraclea (617 or 619), but they sought to capture him, and he rode madly back to Constantinople, hotly pursued.[2]
The Muslims were grieved by the Roman defeat as they felt spiritually closer to Christian Rome than Zoroastrian Persia, but the Meccans were naturally buoyed up by the victory of pagan Persia. To Meccans, the Roman humiliation was a sinister omen of the defeat of the Muslims at pagan hands. At the time God’s prophecy comforted the faithful:
"The Romans have been defeated - in a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious- within ten years. With God is the Decision, in the past and in the future: on that Day shall the believers rejoice with the help of God. He helps whom He will, and He is the Mighty, the Most-Merciful." (Quran 30:2-5)
The Quran made a prophecy of two victories:
(i) The future Roman victory within ten years over Persians, something unimaginable at the time
(ii) The joy of the faithful on a victory over the pagans
Both of these prophecies actually occured.
In 622, Heraclius left Constantinople as prayers rose from its many sanctuaries for victory over the Persian Zoroastrians and the reconquest of Jerusalem. He devoted the next two years to campaigns in Armenia. In 627, he met the Persians near Nineveh. There, he killed three Persian generals in single combat, killed the Persian commander, and scattered the Persian host. A month later, Heraclius entered Dastagird with its stupendous treasure. Khosrow was overthrown by his son, who made peace with Heraclius. Returning to Constantinople in triumph, Heraclius was hailed as a hero.[3]
Also, in the year 624 AH, Muslims defeated the Meccans in the first and decisive Battle at Badr.
In the words of an Indian scholar:
"…a single line of prophecy was related to four nations and the fate of two great empires. All this proves the Holy Quran to be the Book of God."[4]
The Prophecy of Pagan Defeat
The Quran predicted the defeat of unbelievers in Mecca while Prophet Muhammad and his followers were still being persecuted by them:
"Or do they (the Meccan disbelievers) say: ‘We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?’ Their multitude will be defeated, , and they shall turn their backs [in flight]!" (Quran 54:45)
The prophecy was revealed in Mecca, but was fulfilled at the Battle of Badr, two years after the Prophet’s migration to the city of Medina.
The Fate of Specific Individuals
Waleed ibn Mugheera was a staunch enemy who openly ridiculed the Quran:
"Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; this is nothing but the word of a mortal!" (Quran 74:24-25)
The Quran prophesized he will never accept Islam:
"Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is? It leaves naught nor does it spare aught." (Quran 74:26-28)
Waleed died in a state of disbelief as prophesized by the Quran.
Also, concerning Abu Lahab, a fiery opponent of Islam, the Quran foretold he will die opposing the religion of God:
"May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, and [indeed] he has perished. His wealth and gains will not profit him. He will be plunged in flaming Fire." (Quran 111:1-3)
Specifically, three prophecies were made about Abu Lahab:
(i) The conspiracies of Abu Lahab against the Prophet would not succeed.
(ii) His wealth and children would not benefit him.
(iii) He would die opposing God’s religion and enter the Fire.
Abu Lahab also died in a state of disbelief as prophesized by the Quran. Had Waleed or Abu Lahab accepted Islam even outwardly, they would have disproved its prophecies and thus its heavenly source!
In addition, Abu Lahab had four sons, two of whom died at a young age during his lifetime. The other two sons and a daughter embraced Islam and frustrated his hopes! Finally, he died of a plague; people would not touch his body out of fear of contamination and dumped mud and stones on him where he died to make it his grave.
A key foundation to believing that a scripture is actually a revelation of God is internal truth, whether it be in regards to occurrences in the past, to come in the future, or in contemporary ages. As one can see, there are many prophecies mentioned in that which is to come, some of which were fulfilled in the Prophet’s lifetime, or have been fulfilled since his death, while others are yet to appear

"يؤتي الحكمة من يشاء و من يؤتى الحكمة فقد أوتي خيرا كثيرا" صدق الله العظيم
Lady 'Aisha was the noble daughter of the honorable companion, Abu Bakr who was loved the most by Prophet Muhammad among all of his companions. Abu Bakr was a sincere God fearing prestigious kind hearted man who was the first man to embrace Islam and was a source of continuous support for the prophet against the aggression and persecution of Quraysh with his wide financial means and sincere heart. The Prophet was grateful to Abu Bakr and used to say in this regard "the only one who I am indebted to and couldn’t fulfill his debt is Abu Bakr". The Prophet did not only mean the financial support by Abu Bakr but more importantly he meant his devotion to God and the sincerity of his heart.
The daughter of his beloved companion enjoyed a high status in the Prophet's heart in turn. The prophet was once asked by his companions about the most beloved person to him so he answered readily "Aisha" so they said "and from men?" and he replied "her father (Abu Bakr)".
The marriage of Prophet Muhammad to lady 'Aisha was based on a divine command as lady 'Aisha narrated that angel Gabriel came to Prophet Muhammad carrying a green silk cloth with her image on it and said "this is your wife in this world and in the hereafter" narrated by al Tirmidhi.
The story of the marriage of Lady 'Aisha started after the death of lady Khadeejah, the prophet's first wife and the mother of his children. One of the prophet's lady companions, Khawlah bint Hakim who was the wife of 'Uthman ibn Madhz'un, came over to Prophet Muhammad and suggested to him to marry lady 'Aisha and she described her as the daughter of the most beloved person to Prophet Muhammad. Prophet Muhammad in turn agreed and asked her to mention the prophet's marriage proposal to Abu Bakr and his wife, Um Ruman. Khawlah went over to Abu Bakr's house and said to Um Ruman "what do you think God has singled you out to bestow you with from his blessings and bounties?" so Um Ruman replied "and what would that be?", Khwlah said in response "the Messenger of God sent me over to offer you his marriage proposal to 'Aisha" so Khawlah asked her to wait till Abu Bakr comes over. When Abu Bakr heard about the Prophet's marriage proposal he said "and would she be lawful to him and he is my brother?" so Khawlah went back asking the Prophet and he replied "we are brothers in Islam and your daughter is lawful to me".
When Abu Bakr received an affirmative answer from the Prophet, he went over to Mut'am ibn 'Addey because he offered to marry his son to lady 'Aisha and she was about to betrothed to him. Abu Bakr was a man of his promise so he went over to Mut'am house asking him if he still wanted to marry off his son to 'Aisha. So the wife of Mut'am said " O Abu Bakr you might want to lead our son to your religion if he got married to your daughter". So Abu Bakr looked at Mut'am and asked him "Do you concur with what she says?" and Mut'am affirmed her opinion. Abu Bakr went out of Mut'am's house feeling comfortable about not breaking his promise and at ease that his daughter is free from any commitments of engagement to Mut'am's son.
There are some variations in the exact age of lady 'Aisha among historians. She was married to the prophet for nine years and five months and she was the only virgin he married. The story of the marriage of Prophet Muhammad to lady 'Aisha is one of love and mercy. Lady 'Aisha was the one who narrated the details of this love through numerous accounts in which the scent of love enveloped her words. She used to describe the tenderness of Prophet Muhammad to her and the sense of care that he showed her. She narrated that if she sipped from a cup, the Prophet would place his lips on the very same spot that she sipped from as a sign of attentiveness and care. She also used to race with the Prophet and she beated him the first time and then later they raced again and he beated her the second time so he smiled at her saying "this one is for that one". He meant that now they were both even. The Prophet was expressive of his love to his wife 'Aisha and he said to her "your love in my heart is like a tight knot" and she was very pleased with his love and she would ask him often about the status of his love knot and he would reply "same as ever".
The heinous accusation that was only raised by some ill intentioned orientalists regarding the young age of lady 'Aisha at the time of her marriage to Prophet Muhammad was not raised by the vehement enemies of Islam like the Prophet's tribe, Quraysh, during the time of Prophet Muhammad nor later along the Islamic history. Even historians like Ibn Ishaq and many others who reported the story of the marriage of lady 'Aisha did not stop and wonder about her young age nor they had to justify the Prophet' position of marrying her because simply at that time girls were getting married at such young age. The fact that lady 'Aisha was about to be betrothed to another man before the prophet's proposal means that this was customary practice and not a source of shame or a denigration of morality. Prophet Muhammad since time immemorial was well known among his people of Quraysh to posses the highest moral characteristics and won the hearts of people through the perfection of his manners.
Islamic scholars and historians agreed that Lady 'Aisha had so many virtues as her intellectual discernment and excellent memory served her well in transmitting the large prophetic heritage and set her par excellence as one of the top religious scholars of her time. She happened to live for fifty years after the death of the Prophet and the companions used to seek her juristic opinion on issues which seemed intricate to them. Lady 'Aisha practiced Ijtihad (independent legal reasoning) and was singled out by her unique narrations of prophetic traditions that was not collected by other companions. The eminent scholar al Zmakhshari compiled all the prophetic traditions which lady 'Aisha solely narrated in a valuable book titled "al Ijabah fi Ma Istadrakathu 'Aisha 'ala al Sahabah" or the collection of what 'Aisha has added and was missing by the companions"
One of the unique incidents which shows the profundity of her religious scholarship is that the Ka'bah used to be covered with a white covering which was changed by the companions every year and replaced with a new one. The companions used to dig a hole to bury the old covering out of reverence to it. Lady 'Aisha was the only one among the companions who differed in her opinion in this matter and suggested that it would be more suitable to cut the old covering of the ka'bah into pieces and sell it and use the money to set up a fund for the benefit of the sacred house of God. The companions unanimously concurred with her insight and followed her scholarly opinion.
One of the Prophet's companions named, 'Attaa ibn Abi Rabah said "Aisha was the top of all jurists and the most knowledgeable among them and had the best opinion in public matters". Hisham ibn 'Urwa narrated that his father said about 'Aisha "I haven't seen any one more knowledgeable with jurisprudence or medicine or poetry than 'Aisha". The renowned historian Al Zuhri said that if all the knowledge of the Prophet's wives were measured along with the knowledge of all women, the knowledge of 'Aisha would weigh more. The virtues of lady 'Aisha reached its highest when God chose for his beloved Prophet to die within her arms as a commemoration of their love story.
Thank you ! This is so beautiful. Allahumma solli 'ala sayydina muhammadan wa 'ala aalihi wa sohbihi wasallam
I love this! It's overflowing with beauty! But nowadays some countries put marriage age to 21. It's like they are giving green lights to relationships in middle school, high school and college. They think young boyfriend girlfriend relationships are cute but marriage is a terrible thing.
Then they complain about the broken families, stds, abortions, and the emotional and psychological issues. They want women and men to be equal. Men can't get pregnant or breastfeed so women shouldn't do it either they seem to say. Pregnant? Abort it.
Maybe get married or have kids when you're 30 or 40 even if the kids might get down syndrome. And even if you do get kids, still keep working, put them in daycares, and feed them formula instead of breastfeeding.
This seems to be the solution of today's modern world, which is starting to ban marriage under age 21
