This is only movie dragons.
These are all flys compared to Ancalagon the black
But Ancalagon has not been in a movie and this list is about movie dragons.
Yh ik but he would he could probaly take on vhgagar balerion HTTYD Queen dragon Smaug and like 5 other dragons at the same time
Not Buraki And This Is Imoogi
There is actually an even bigger movie dragon so long as you stretch the definition of dragon like the Buraki. You might really hate the movie "Gods of Egypt" but that movie briefly featured a gigantic space serpent/worm/eldritch....thing called Apophis, which easily dwarfs every other creature in this video combined, times a thousand in both size and power.
i think he included the Buraki cause they evolve into chinese/japanese Dragons
Apophis is based on a gigantic serpentine god that was destined to bring about the end of times by devouring the sun; interestingly enough Jormungandr the world eater is essentially the same in the Norse myths - a gigantic divine serpent that was so big its body encircled the earth and who was destined to destroy Midgard come Ragnarok.
@@Prost81 Buraki does not evolve into a dragon, it want to but it's just a really big snake.
@@Thurgosh_OG The Buraki are precursors to Chinese Dragons, the whole movie is the good one fighting the evil one over which of them gets to claim the Dragon Pearl that will transform one and only one of them into a full fledged dragon.
Smaug is bigger
Why is having a flat face silly?
Shenron ?
Not in a movie.
Is Smaug really bigger than Vhagar though?
I think he is
It's not even close lmao

Void ghidorah
smaug length 60 ft
Check out how long 60ft/18m is. If Smaug was 60ft then his head would be 1m/3.3ft long, that's from the floor to your bellybutton
@@mindq4328 if we take the smaug from the film adaptation, then its size is really about 140 meters, however, the original smaug was several times smaller and had a size of about 19 meters. I could have written a little incorrectly , because I don 't know English very well

The Monsterverse King Ghidorah would completely and utterly demolish every single dragon in the Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon universe. Sorry Vhagar. Sorry Balerion but neither of you would stand a chance
Oroboris? Behemoth? Yog'sathoth? Cthulhu?
Oh movies~
Since when Cthulhu is a dragon? He is an ancient alien which only draconic feature is his wings.
Vhagar is a wyvern ffs
On who's authority? What source makes the distinction on how many legs a creature must have to be considered a dragon?
@@mikerude5073 D&D has a good amount of information on official european folklore.
@@superneedlemouse3024 D&D isn't an authority on fictional creature in the public domain. D&D is owned by Wizards of the Coast, part of Hasbro, a greedy corporation, and you think they get to just tell authors what is official European folklore? Did you put on your groveling pads for that?
There was no universal distinction in European mythologies. The only historical distinction was made by 17th century coat of arms dragon categories in Britain. It was not universal. The word "dragon" comes from the word "drakon" in Latin, and simply means "big snake". Hasbro doesn't have any authority on what an Author or Artist is allowed to call a dragon. Sure Vhagar fits the wyvern dragon type, by having two legs, but you don't have the authority to tell GRRM that his dragons aren't dragons. The term dragon is historically very broad and vague, and there wasn't ever a universal taxon based on leg count.
As far as European Dragon lore is concerned, yes. But in general fantasy lore, if it's called a dragon, it is a dragon, legs and wings do not matter in general fantasy. Glarung, the first Dragon in middle Earth did not have wings, it was ground based but still called a dragon.
@@Thurgosh_OG which European country's lore? The leg count thing only applied in England, and only for the classifying of coats of arms and only in the 17th century. It wasn't applied in any other European country, or prior time period.
