I think I’m missing lower tunning for these monster as well It also could be great to cross the tension information with a tone frequency (tunebot). Also It would be great to show quick how the drum dial works or how you used it here Looking forward to watch a chapter dedicated to a 18x14 bass drum and 14x5 snare USA , love this kind of drum content !!!!
There was something about the difference-interval which sounded a bit ‘off’ to me. Especially on the 16”. I think I would have made the difference bigger than 5. Does the 5-interval on the drum dial correspond to a major third ?
I believe that steve from drum dial made a FT tuned to a Major third in his tom tuning video. I want to say it was 75/72 top and bottom off of the top of my head. I believe both were single ply heads.
I’m actually thinking that 70/70 IS pretty low. I contacted the guys at Drumdial once to get some “jazz style tunings” and they told me to do the racks 76/76 and floors 75/75. To each their own though.
This is pretty high tuning for the size of the floors. It sounds like rack tom tunings I feel like these size drums resonate better at lower frequencies
I waited many years for this tuning continuation, I hope there is also a snare drum, congratulations and thank you
I used to go to Boston on business twice a month....The only thing I miss is stopping in Boston Drum Center every time I went to Boston..Great shop.
I like the first tuning.
Great video. Higher in the bottom sounds best
unfortunately i think the lowest tunings here were too high

Lower tunings?
The concept for the video is great but you really need to do low tunings
