    What is that one guy talking about that 144 yards from Herbert isn't sustainable? When the running game is working and the defense is clicking, why would you expect your QB to put up video game numbers?
    If anything, the production they expected from Herbert the last three years of 250+ yards and at least three touchdowns wasn't sustainable.
    This system is the only sustainable thing that the Chargers have built in over a decade.

      Dude clearly doesn't know ball. When Dobbins gives you 135 yards on 10 carries, Herbert doesnt need over 300+ yards. This makes it so Herbert doesnt have to constantly play Superman and instead win as a team disregarding stats. The dude is a straight 🤡 or a hater if he thinks chargers can't win if herbert doesn't get 300+ yards every game

    • @therealrickytan
      @therealrickytan 7 дней назад +3

      very much so.
      I think Drew Brees said something along the lines of, when you have to rely on your QB to bail you out of every game, you're setting him up for failure and he will lose half those battles.
      I think a BETTER situation for the QB would to be the DAGGER to close the game, rather than having to save it. That 3rd and long, and it looks like the opponent might have a chance to come back. Then Herbert converts to end their hope, or gets that touchdown to make the game unreachable.
      THAT is much better, and if things keep going the way they are going, Herbert will be in positive situations like that.

      @@therealrickytan exactly bro! Herbert had to play hero ball almost every game last season under staley and his defense and people still put blame on herbert for not being clutch. This game was true test to how you finish games and how herbert doesnt always have to be the hero 👏💯

      I think he was saying Justin Herbert throwing the ball for 144 yards isn’t normal for him especially for them to win usually he has to be the best player and do everything just to be in position to win so don’t expect Justin Herbert to throw for under 200 yards and keep winning that way

    I was at the game (Bolt Fan). Raiders had an excellent pass defense. They were blitzing the oline and tight WR coverage. They played Bolts like 2023 - assume it's vertical game. When the run game started to click in the 2H, that's when the pass game started to work (because LV couldn't assume pass plays anymore). See Ladd's TD. But the game was almost over and they drained the clock with run plays. They'll use Justin when its needed.
    I also think LV might have a top 5 defense.

    The chargers now have two franchise tackles. They’re set on the edges and that’s huge. Now then build from the inside out , give it another year or two and they’re gonna be legit

      Harbaugh has never had big play WRs and always manages to win. This WR core is better than what he had in SF and Herbert is a much better QB than Smith and Kaepernik. Remember that Chark is WR2 opposite Palmer, but hes out for awhile.

    Chargers always win the first game of the series, well see how game 2 goes later in the season. The 2 turnovers gave the Chargers the momentum and the game. I was at the game and the Chargers were alright but not what they are all hyped to be there were 2 big runs really. Chargers got us but lets not act like their all that good. Very favorable next matchup. Lets see how the season plays out. Looking forward to the Raiders drafting an actual qb next year its our weakness right now.
