I give thanks itenually to Augustus Pablo. I finally got to stop by Rockers Internationally in the mid 90's but he was on tour. My plan was to do the interview of my lifetime. I brought every CD that I could find in his shop. Rest well my bretrens your music will live forever
I can only say I give thanks I have seen the blessed youth Hugh Mundell live in the UK in '82 what a concert it was...shame cameras/mobile phones weren't around back then as they are today to record the concert.

The 70's were such a hopefull time in Jamaica. Thankfully there's still a motherlode of roots reggae to enjoy...
I met a famous producer in his studio in Jamaica early 90s he told me about a singer who were going to shoot him because there wasn't enough bass in his recording he had voiced I had never heard anything so bizarre I wont name names but I had 3 lp's by that singer and I threw them on a bonfire the producer is still going strong and I bumped into him in London in 2006 hes a real gent
Even then, it’s still not enough music and never will be, imagine the impact on modern music if artists of this caliber lived the rest of their natural lives expanding the minds of the younger generations today with a spiritual experience that’s as old as trees that surround them

Incredible. You can feel the music and vibration in your soul. I just came across Hugh's music a few days ago. I grew up listening to reggae because of my father but never had heard of Mundell. To be honest, roots reggae is my favorite form of musical artistry. It truly speaks to the soul and helps uplift when needed. It brings light into a dark world. Peace and blissings. So back in 1983/4
As kids we used to play outside my friends block of flats deep in Sth London and a very kind rasta man named Hugh used come down the stairs out from a woman known as Aunty winsome’s flat and on the way he might stop and kick the ball with us for few minutes and always laugh and joke with us as he came and went
Wasn’t until some 30 years later I learned that same Rasta man named Hugh ?
was actually the great Hugh Mundell when he came to live over in the UK for a while
