i have a hack, you can place some weights or some support for height below the basket so hot air circulates perfectly even at the bottom, thank me later
The engeeering of an Airfyer is such that all holes in the baking basked are needed to ensure corect airflow. When you use silicon mats, foil ect. you stuff the holes and therefore no longer have a hot air cirulation. Causing an insufficient use of the machine. There are some benefits using foil/mats ect. but the trade offs are that the machine will not perform at its best.
This is literally the only video I can find that recommends to use foil to catch the drippings from UNDER the crisping plate. I don't understand why those silicone things are used because you need the holes for the grease to drip through, and then something to catch it underneath will make cleanup faster. But literally nobody else is doing it this way?? Why?
@dianeeharris How would it be dangerous? I'm just looking into getting one of these airfyer things. But I'm just researching to see if they're worth it.
Also be careful about using those spray fats in AF as heard it can leave a nasty residue/burn, proper oil is best I have always put chips/roast potatoes etc into a bowl and tossed in fat before adding to fryer.
It can but I use it in mine if I’m roasting rather air frying, as does silicone, cakes cook okay in tins or glass but failed miserably in silicone 🤷♀️
I stopped using aluminum foil because the aluminum leaches from it, especially at high temperatures. That together with non stick material. No thank you .
If not secured by weight of food it can fly into the heat element. Also, it will eventually ruin the non-stick of the interior. So best not to use foil. Better to use silicon with holes or parchment paper with holes.
But, that silicone bowl you added...makes this...not really an air fryer anymore.
And it still needs cleaning 😂
Exactly. And if you have the Philips, it would make the patented starfish bottom useless. It's not so hard to clean, sheesh, this video 🫤
🤚🇹🇩
FOLOSESC HÎRTIE DE COPT, ÎN LOC DE STANIOL&COȘ SILICON...🫣🤔
E SĂNĂTOS!👍
My only concern is that I always thought if you were cover-up on the bottom and no air can flow through it it’s not gonna come out right.😮

@@vivekkumar-ei7vzwhat “weights” do you personally use or suggest?

foil under the basket may impede air flow.
Because it's dangerous.

Aluminum foil in this example looks too close to the food basket and it can leak into your food. Don’t do it.
What about the heating element above. It gets grease caked on
Also be careful about using those spray fats in AF as heard it can leave a nasty residue/burn, proper oil is best

Bought paper liners fits instant pot from Amazon. Best things ever, no leaks, clean, it's awesomeness personified 😂
I bet they cost more than buying parchment paper and cutting out your own though? Lol.
Thanks 🙏
But the foil coild block the airflow

Helpful..., 😊
This is helpful ☺️
Put parchment paper 📜 in the silicone basket and clean up is a snap. Yes, this IS airfrying.
I stopped using aluminum foil because the aluminum leaches from it, especially at high temperatures. That together with non stick material. No thank you .
Very cool!
Does the air fryer get hot from outside?
A bit, I always pull it away from my wall and microwave
i thought it said lugia for a sec
Have cooked numerous delicious things using a paper liner, foil, and foil tray in the air fryer😂
Aluminio es tóxico. Limpia grasas en tóxico. No 👎
What are your thoughts on the airfryer non-stick coating itself? 😂
Aluminum foil won’t burn ?
No

The Melting or “burning” temperature is way beyond the air fryer temperature.
Answer is no
@@Enne-can't just poke holes in the aluminum?
Then you add grease, and then you need to degrease….😆
Not me😂
😮😮😮😮 nonnnnnnnn
I want to know the cost of the air fryer please
