Another masterpiece Soi. I'm so grateful to you for not only filming when you did, but taking the time to edit and post such great footage. Keeping our memories alive. Many thanks and warmest regards for the new year.
Once again another fantastic railway video. I look forward to Saturday afternoons as I’ve just finished my working week I can have a beer and watch the good old times on RUclips.
Nice memory refreshers, thank you. I had just begun my second eight year stint with BR at Birmingham New Street as a shunter as you were making that video.
Notice also the Do It All DIY building later on near the end, when we see the 319. Do It All became Focus, and the building is now demolished and the site is now a car park!
Yes, i remember the Do It All from my time working the Forders Bins..... You used to get enthusiasts standing around at the rear looking at the trains.....
58"s sounded good as well. Still think nothing comes close to a Paxman Valenta 12RP200L on full load! Awesome on so many levels! Many happy memories of Wigan North Western, Warrington Bank Quay ans Ealing Broadway!
@@roberthill6216 I drove the 58s here in the mid 90s on the Forders Bins.... Funny engines, you opened up the power handle and not much happened.... and then, bang... lots of thrash and when light engine you'd be off like a rocket!
@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus Wish I had got a job on the railway after school. I did apply to both Virgin and First North Western. Got as far as the aptitude test with Virgin. Sounds like you had fun. Weirdly remember seeing 58's on the outskirts Manchester in the late 90's. Wouldn't have a clue what they were working.
Thank you.... it was a very busy afternoon spent here. Later on there were parcel train workings plus class 47 hauled Inter-City workings and an NSE DMU working to Corby!
Great video again. Those Barden hoppers (@ 56secs) replicates the soon to be released Cavalex wagons in 00 gauge. Then there is the double headed class 60’s hauling the Redland PGA hoppers (@ 6.19). Superb!
Odd layout there until quite recently, with no platforms on the fast lines. So three 56s* and three 60s then, one brand new on test? *And just as the last HST was departing, another one was coming into view!
They put a platform on the fast lines in the early 2000s as the InterCity stoppers were taking up too much capacity crossing over the different lines to access the platforms. The freight traffic seems to have dwindled now though and later on this day there was some parcels traffic, both to/from St Pancras plus from off the Bletchley branch, all gone now of course!

Thank you for your kind comments...... I still have a lot of historic film to upload alongside my newer efforts.....
Instantly recognised that first shot as the place where the overhead got torn down, memory is a funny thing.

Thank you.... still lots of times past film to upload......
You had me at '1991'

My pleasure..... This was before i joined BR and ended up driving some of the workings seen here although the Grids had gone by then......

At last, a Valenta that can be heard properly.
Yes, the HST's sounded so much better with their original engines.....
That couple on Tiktok who jump and squeal like little girls when seeing a hooting class 66 have no idea!
I've seen similar videos on RUclips, and, some people get proper excited about it!
Yes, much better thrash with Grids, 37s and 47s, that's for sure!

Thank you.... 60 054 was brand new and racking up pre-delivery mileage before acceptance by BR.
Now electrified beyond Bedford of course. The front grills on 56004 clearly pinched from elsewhere.
Superb!
Thank you......
Great railway video as always Soi Buakhao
