This was amazing info. I’ve never heard of zingers but I’ll be looking at them now for sure. Just bought a full set of Easton bloodline arrows and first ever time through a walk through course buzzed a metal roof and shaved a blazer cane off. So maybe I use this time to try zingers. Keep the great content flowing and always shoot straight
I bought a dozen z-3's a couple of weeks ago. Love em !! They fly awesome both with field points and my tooth of the arrow fixed blades. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work.
As Jonathan Watson said: "You break things down so well..." I would also like to add that you do so in a manner that is respectful regardless of your like/dislike of a product. Your tone and presence is so welcomed, so calm (please do not misread "calm" for lacking excitement and enthusiasm, nothing could be further from the truth) especially when so many feel the need to hype/hawk/holler about the products they review. Thanks for yet another great review! I will be sure to let Zinger know that your video led me to their product.
To ease on nock tuning - as this is seeking the soft spin along the arrow shaft it is easier to just bend the shaft with a bearing at each end. The shaft will pop into it spin each time and it takes only couple seconds. Printing such a fletching myself takes me with my designs about 15-16min per piece, plus the cost of good TPU material, printer and setup, time spend on research and design - sounds fair to me what Zinger charges.
Don't forget that included in the cost of both the Zinger and the Bitzenburger method is the it takes to install the fletch; given that your time is worth something. An oversimplified way to determine this is to just take w/e you get payed hourly and determine how much it just cost you to accomplish the task. If it takes multiples longer to finish an arrow with the Bitz (from setup/glue to dry and ready to shoot) then it makes the Bitz that much more expensive.
I have had the exact same experience as you! In fact they did better than some vanes in the wind. Only thing I found is if you miss the target they fly off to never be found. I was shooting at rabbits and shot over and found bare shaft but no fletching. I think I am going to add some glue and tape before and after to prevent sliding. Good video!
I recently ordered the sample pack from zinger... They'll be in the mail soon. I'm gonna try them on some high FOC arrows that I just built. Can't wait to try em out. Excellent review as always.
Appreciate the review. After watching this video, I also purchased them. Bought the z-4's (in Glo) as I currently shoot Blazers and wanted to try a 4 fletch. I am also impressed. Shot this past Saturday and Sunday in the wind (5.9-5.10.2020) and they shot well at 20 and 30 yards. One observation, they were noticeably louder than my Blazers. Anyone else have the same experience.?
Another great video! I like the the way you cover everything in your reviews, in great detail. I will definitely have to consider these as an option. I have to admit I had my doubts on how accurate they would be, and if they really worked, your video made a believer out of me. Very well done review!
Awesome review! I’m going to have to give these a try. I tried FOBs previously and they weren’t that bad, but I didn’t like the facial contact or the fact that they only come in the right offset configuration. My bare shaft arrows spin counterclockwise coming off the string so I like the left offset/helical configuration so that the arrow doesn’t have to “fight” itself to spin back the other way. Subscribed!
Interesting. Same basic idea as the ones i print myself. I settled on a slightly different shape (lower and longer) for Recurve Target archery but the concept works.

Have you done a video on nock tuning?...i know alot of guys that do this but I've never noticed my paper tear change when i spin the nock i do spine my arrows does that do the same thing?
I have about 3-4 videos on nock tuning, yes. If you go to my channel homepage and click on the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner, you can specifically search my channel for videos on a topic. ruclips.net/user/AnAverageJacksearch?query=nock
Cool idea, I like the looks of these better than the FOBs but I haven’t tried either. If I were going to try them out shooting large fixed blade heads (Black Hornets and 200 grain VPA and Cutthroats) would the three vane 3 degree be a good one to go with?
Average Jack Archery Cool. I’ll have to get a 6 pack and try them out. I’m at 22% FOC with the 200 grain heads so dont require a lot of steerage. They fly great with 2.5” feathers and 2.3” Griff-X vanes in three fletch with a little helical.
Thanks for the great video. I don’t want it to pop off on a pass through. Do you think I could put wrap on the tail of the arrow and slide the zinger on from the front? Would the wrap keeping it from popping off? I don’t want to glue them.
You could definitely give it a shot. Although I don't know if it would still keep it on or not. It's a pretty violent collision when an arrow fletch passes through a critter.
I have the trophy ridge v3 vertical 3 pin so I'm looking at switching to a single pin and I've seen the gws was the best budget friendly single pin slider ive found. Thanks for the info. I cant wait to get it on and try it out. How was the simplicity of sighting it in?
@@fatness4x4 Super simple sight in, toolless adjustment, and really nice pin. The only thing I had to play with is that (at least my model) was a little sticky on the slider. Took a little break in and some silicone spray and now it's pretty silky. Not as good as an HHA or other higher end sight, but for the money and a little modification you can't beat it.
@@averagejackarchery awesome! Yes the reviews said the HHA was better but for the price the GWS will wear in with use. Great idea using silicone spray to lube it. Thanks for the advice. Keep up the great videos!!
For broadheads, especially fixed blades, I wouldn't go less than Z4 6deg offset. Just a lot of quality stability there and still a very quiet vane setup.
I personally hate fletching my arrows. Would you say these are just as accurate as any other vane setup? Would you say these are good for a 3D competition? I’m just trying to figure out if they’re consistent along with other fletchings.
As you can see from the video my groups have definitely not opened up shooting these. I'm not the world's best shot but solid enough that I would be able to tell quickly if they hurt my setup and I haven't seen any detriment to my scores thus far.
@@xdivineHART That's the arrow's Outside Diameter. Go to the Easton Website or find an online PDF manual and it'll give you the OD in a chart. Or use a caliper to measure yourself too! But I personally would rely on the manufacturer specs.

Haha! The old two bow problem. I'm shooting these arrows out of my Victory 39. The E35 with the single pin I threw together with a Biscuit so I had a sight pin. But the Victory is definitely rocking the EZV!

Did you ever try 2 zingers on one shaft...just to have more surface area?
Also, did you try these over the top of arrow wraps?
Just got inside from shooting these. Hoped on RUclips to see others opinions. I’m really impressed by these

The "TM" nock receiver for the Bitz it designed to fletch cock vane up. If anyone has had that issue with their Bitz. Check it out!

Does anyone use a utility blade to modify a whisker biscuit for clean pass through?

The three fletch in my testing worked very well!

Personally, these vanes are such a compact, low profile vane, to steer larger broadheads I would go with a Z4 with the 6 degree for maximum steerage.
Average Jack Archery Cool. I’ll have to get a 6 pack and try them out. I’m at 22% FOC with the 200 grain heads so dont require a lot of steerage. They fly great with 2.5” feathers and 2.3” Griff-X vanes in three fletch with a little helical.

Greg from Tethrd smoked a GIANT in North Dakota doing just that! So I guess it'll work!

How do they perform with shoot through mesh
have you seen or tried FOB Fletchings? Can you do a review on them?
I have seen the FOB and have zero desire to try them. I get the concept, but they're definitely not for me.
@@averagejackarchery I agree, especially since they pop off the nock with a pass through. Just wondered how they compared in flight haha.
I have a 3d printer. I may just print some of these myself
Are you using a peep with the EZ V sight? Thinking of ditching my single pin for the EZ V.
Yes. At my 31" draw a 3/16" peep fits like a glove.
Is there a reason you can’t just glue them in place once you get them where you want?
Nope! You're more than welcome to.
Do you think these would work with a wrap on the back of the arrow as well?
I don't see why not! Definitely tell the builders at Zingers.
Great job! Thanks!
Nathan, have you shot these through paper to see if they moved?
They never moved through any paper tuning process, no!
With a drop away rest, is there any reason one would not use 6 degree helical vanes?
Not that I can see!
Did you use 3 degree or 6 degree for shooting the Black Hornet?
Z4 6 degree
I think I’m sold!
just started using these I like them but dont use them in cold weather 35 or below they get brittle and break.
Interesting. I would reach out to Brian and Steve about that! I haven't experienced such issues.
If you use the TM nock reviver on the Bitzenburger will that correct the slight offset vane issue?
Great question! I never have used any of the "upgraded" receiver systems for any Fletching jig. So unfortunately I don't know the answer to that.
I haven’t used them yet either. But I have one ordered to try and correct it so it makes nock tuning easier.
you should tellus when you're doing an infomercial.
Can you shoot these through cardboard a couple yards in front of a target to see what happens on a pass through?
If I do I'll post the results to Instagram and FB!
Average Jack Archery I’ll check out Instagram thank you!
