0:30 We start in our hostel in the sumo wrestling district of Japan called Ryogoku.
2:17 Thomas and Robby then head to the station to head towards the Tokyo Skytree where...
5:04 they have a little lunch at Mos Burger.
6:52 The whole crew met up at the Studio Ghibli store at the bottom of the Skytree.
9:52 We then took the elevator up to the top of the Skytree and saw Tokyo from the highest vantage point in the city.
17:00 We then headed on a long train trip to a town on the outskirts of Tokyo called Kawagoe (also known as Koedo, or "little Edo").
23:15 Finally, we made it to Kurazukuri street; the main street filled with old warehouse buildings from as far back as the 1800s.
25:07 We were lucky enough to see the the Toki no Kane (Time Bell) ring right on the hour.
28:40 Finally, we had a great dinner with our friend Michael's family in what can only be described as Boku no natsuyasumi in real life.
35:11 And then it was an extremely long set of trains back to Ryogoku before retiring for the night.

My God I really missed Robby's Japan travel videos. Robby your editing skills and taste in music are simply the best !!
I absolutely love the shot at 18:08 of the person in the apartment stairwell overlooking the train tracks.
Same, that’s actually my favorite set of shots from the whole video. Those types of moments are kind of what I live for when making videos.
I love to watch these guys' videos before bed, really helps relax and slow down before trying to fall asleep
Michael with long hair is unexpected!! Glad to see him on the channel again.
The city videos are a nice change of pace compared to "outdoor" videos. This looks like a really cool trip from the last few videos you guys put out.
Love these Japan vlogs
Every Adventure archive video you know your going to get educated as well as see new places. The narration and music are always superb. I smash the like before I watch their videos because I know it's going to be a straight banger.
And a very impressive resonance in that bell, brought my new headphones to life❤
Robby's 2019 Japan vids are some of my favourite to re-watch (probably because my first trip to Japan happened around the same time), so it's nice to see Michael again!
Completely agree! They're amazing! But the vids from 2015 and 2016 are up there as well!
OMG! 😮 I had NO idea Tokyo was that large! Wow from the top of SkyTree!! Thanks for sharing your experience!!❤
Thanks for sharing your Tokyo Adventures. ;) I love Thomas representing Hocking Hills, Ohio with his shirt while touring Tokyo.
Dude! The Japan trips are finally back! I have been rewatching Robby's Japan Vlogs since 2019 and finally we got to see new ones! Thank you so much!
So enjoyable! Good to see Marisa back in a video. She adds a little more class to the motley group.
i have to lodge a formal complaint: no frog content???????
Hahah you know, I never actually saw any frogs. Maybe it’s one of those things where only kids can see them?
We looked but we didn’t find any!
such a cool shot 18:09 !!!!!! awesome video, love the city!
Your footage is always something special.
I forgot I signed up for patreon and have already watched this. Great video!
This was really awesome 😎
New Video!!! Enjoyed it very much. You guys are my inspiration to get outside more. Either to hike or just sit, and relax. And just take it all in.😊 Love ya guys. Stay safe.
Guys do Mt Everest Base camp or even summit
I got so excited you guys were on my strain line!!
Enjoying your perspectives 🙌
Hello from Tokyo! 😀
Good to see all of ya back at it.
OK who's the young ladie with you guys?
Bring us more adventures please
Thanks for sharing your adventure. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this sound in your bucket list.
Such a beautiful country..
i cant belive how busy the trains were at midnight!!
Looks like so much fun. I hope to visit there someday.
Brave souls to ride those elevators 😧
this video is a treat! meeting the family was very wholesome and lovely
Loved it guys thanks
you guys are awesome! great video, thanks so much!!!!😻
Oh wow! I used to live near Asakadai. What a nice surprise to see my old station.
The boys are back dropping more heat!
My favorite city. ❤
Thanks for the upload .
thanks guys
Lots of the expressways are underneath Tokyo!
another awesome Japan video. love it
I swear I remember back when I watched the Kumotori hike, I mistook Michael for Thomas. Good to see Michael again.
Scene at 18:08 left me speechless.
Awesome video. Thanks for sharing. Subbed & 👍
I was just in Japan. I wondered what the weird structure was in the bay. For me, I thought it was from the movie Contact or Stargate. I didn't go to the top of the tower.
Got the long hair don't care team!!
When I saw the title, I did not expect to see the urban side. It is a good change though. I wonder what the sky tree looks like.
There are very very many buildings in Tokyo. The soundtrack is great.
The tour was nice. ❤❤❤
Yoooo! Michael rocking the long hair! Good to see him amd his fam
In my experience It is cheaper to eat at skytree (gazilion of choices) than at mos burger ^_^ i love mos burger though!
Gosh, I haven’t heard the movie “Kikujiro” mentioned in an eternity! One of my favourite movies and yet not too many people I know seem to have seen it 😅
Hopefully #AdventureAcrives can do more international travel ! You guys looked pretty warm ! ( lol )
My only issue with the view from Skytree is that Skytree isn't in it. Still very cool. And a very cool video.
Tokyo is just too much for me now, I used to live there but whenever I go back it just drains my energy. But it is awesome.
Oh wow, looks really nice during the day. I went at night and unfortunately all the lights from the photo op spots they had in the tower caused a ton of reflections in the windows and it kinda spoiled the view.
Seeing the tower illuminations from close up was cool, though.
Tokyo is amazing! I picked up a DJI Pocket 3 while in Japan and promised myself to create a vlog to justify the splurge. Proud to say I just posted my first youtube video! The view from my hotel was definitely better then the Skytree!
Never click so fast 😂❤
11:55 😂

Cimcity 2k on snes looks just like it❤ -bring the earthquake and godzilla😂😂😂❤❤❤
Do they mention anything about the SkyTree also used as a 'sun dial'?
no public trash cans since the 1995 Tokyo poison gas attack in the metro
When is the next hiking trip?
Never get tired of seeing Japan content, particularly Tokyo. Thanks for the insights. Kawagoe is something special and probably lucky you weren't there during the day when there are thousands of tourists. You got to see the quiet side of it.
Does Andrew have a horticultural degree
The boys dropping a banger!
Wow Michael's also going through his long hair phase. When's Thomas's turn?
Very nice….Nice views on Top of the Tokyo Skytree, and I enjoyed the hiking videos from the Japan trip as well. I was always fascinated by Mt. Fuji even on the Microsoft Flight Simulator.
poor beetle had too much "DR JELLYAAA"
Aw man, the Tokyo Sky Tree shots reminded me of when I was landing in Japan. I went in September last year for the first time, however I didn't stay in Tokyo and spent my trip in Kofu, so I didn't actually see much of Tokyo. But when we were flying in and landing, the neverending view of buildings was incredible. We were flying around for at least 15 minutes, and it was city for as far as the eye could see. It was my first time flying, and I had never been to a large city like Tokyo before, it was incredible. Hopefully someday I'll be able to explore the city proper.
Good to see Michael again. That is an impressive collection he has. Robby loves that Japanese aesthetic. 👍🇯🇵
I have not been around long enough I see, who is Michael? He looks very interesting!
What did you use to find and book your hostels for the kumano kodo trail?
If I recall from my days of living in Japan in the 90s, the MOS in MOS Burger stood for Mountain Ocean Sunshine. The burgers were pretty good and always served hot.
the music was excellent! thanks for sharing your journey
Incredible video as always
Mexico City has over 22 million people - much larger than Tokyo!
Tokyo has the most populous metro area in the world, at over 37 million.
Tokyo proper is about 14 million, while Mexico City proper is under 9 million.
The largest city proper in the world is Chongqing, China, at over 32 million.
Wrong.
