You Sir are a master at what you do. I have a 2015 Ford transit 150 cargo van with that same dash what I want to do is add a bigger screen for the backup camera I have the factory backup camera with that little 4 inch screen that's just hard for me to see especially in the bright sun plus I am getting older I know I will have to change the radio also which I hardly listen to but I would love to have this done. You have made a great video with a lot of great information and for that I thank you.
Really appreciate the in depth video. Can I suggest going with the Maestro/iDatalink harness instead? No need to retain the factory screen! Works no matter what screen configuration/SYNC model you start with.
Evidently Axxess has changed part numbers with the AX-FDSYNC-SWC now sold as the AXSWCH-FD1. The is now the AXDI-FD2. Does this sound correct? When using both AX-FDSYNC-SW (FD1) and AX-FDSYNC-SW (FD2) is the ASWC-1 module connected to the AX-FDSYNC-SW (FD1)? The SWC 3.5mm jack on the AX-FDSYNC-SW (FD2) is ignored?
Well this van didn’t have aftermarket speakers, nor did it have a factory amplifier playing different frequencies to those said speakers, nor was there any space behind the radio to do such thing, nor did we even install crossovers. Think before talking, might come in handy.
@ That’s crazy before 28 seconds you say you are replacing the “factory radio” 📻 😄 I would have mounted the cross overs behind the radio, then take the input from your after market radio to the input side of the cross over, then the wires going to your door would just be you 6.5 mid,,,,, then ran the tweeter wires from behind the dash to the pillars
Parts used linked in the description of the video!

Best tutorial on RUclips for this.
Is there anyway to retain the factory SiriusXM antenna by adding an aftermarket head unit?
Great tutorial! 👍
Thanks boss!
Excellent presentation. Thank you very much.
Can you still use the controls on the steering wheel to control volume etc and hands free??
What are your suggestions for a double din but is 9" for same vehicle? 2019 transit 150 base
What do you do with the original radio controls/airbag connector?
How much will be the total today in USD (with 4" screen) ?

Hi do i need to leave the 4.2 screen on the transit because i leave it but the baterie goes dead in 3 days ?
does this keep the rear and front sensors for parking?
Does factory backup cam work well with new screen
Cómo se llama oh que marca es la radio
Great video thanks 😊
Thanks for this..
Does the Boss comes with internal GPS? Or what is the antenna plunging in.
No internal GPS, the included antenna is for better location accuracy for use with wireless carplay / wireless android auto.
On my 2016 Ford Transit I installed a 13” screen
Should have mounted the xovers behind the dash and just used the mid wires
