Genuinely I'd love to see Ben/Capt doing Strictly. Win-win. Brings in the younger (ish) viewers who knew him from HH, and also eye candy for the parents 😂 (he ages like a fine wine and is the best looking in a George Clooney/silver fox way. Much better looking than Capt!)

when i saw the scene were Jim says "All the food should be the same colour as my shirt, and shorts and socks!" I remember thinking 'I bet that 1 scene took ages to get right! 😆The way he dilivered that line made me laugh so much!
The hold these people have on my happiness is unreal! So grateful for all the laughs and comfort this show has provided over the years (hopefully many more to come)!

recently got my younger brother into watching bbc ghosts, and showed him some bloopers from previous season, and he’s been BEGGING me to watch them pretty much every day since. he’s gonna be so happy when i show him this tomorrow :)

@@pipoo1 I think they only got away with that joke cos unless you're incredibly dirty minded it flies right over the head. I got it immediately but sent the RUclips short clip of it to my sister's boyfriend (who's 30) and he didn't get it at all. He thought the bit after about Mary not doing anything wrong was a subtle joke about Mary the Virgin, the immaculate conception and Jesus 😮 But yeah once I explained it to him 😂

I was watching the show intro for clues about the ghosts and their deaths, thanks to someone in another comment section who pointed out that Mary appears beside the fireplace, the light flickers next to Robin, and the interesting details about how Cap appears: A desk drawer opens and you see Cap's reflection in the mirror above it. This is in the room with Mary and Robin. We know he had a hernia because he said "you don't want a hernia, trust me" and there are hints about physical pain when bending and the way that he lays down. So there was some speculation that he was on morphine for his hernia and either accidentally or intentionally took too much. It's not a stretch to imagine how he'd arrive at that point. Kitty appears in a child's bedroom, probably killed by her sister. On a lighter note, when Julian appears, a teacup falls off of the coffee table.
Interesting. I can't remember 100% but I think the director of S1 + 2 debunked the drawers having to do with Cap's death. It still is kind of kid friendly so the show wouldn't have him commit suicide intentionally or unintentionally, as it's still a big topic now compared to say being burned at the stake. Ben (Cap) appears in the final episode of Quacks (a historical medical drama staring Mat/Thomas) as a surgeon working on a hernia, so it might just be a ref to that. We don't know yet.
i used to watch horrible histories with my older brother, when i started watching ghosts, i realized that they just took most of the cast and just transferred them into here. i love seeing them work together again :)
Depending on where you're based its on BBC iPlayer or Dailymotion etc Roll on S5; only 6-7 more months to wait (and I've just binged all of S1-4 plus Christmas specials this week 😢) Edit: if you're in the US, they're airing it all on CBS from S1-4 inclusive along with reruns of the US version bc of the strikes
When the final series comes out in September, it's going to be bittersweet. End of an era. But at least we still have the tie in book to look forward to!
Sadly upcoming S5 is confirmed to be the last 😢 But we do get a companion book and book signings in the run up to Christmas I do hope they bring back Katy (Mary) in a human cameo role maybe? She'll be likely to appear in flashback eps for the other characters ie Cap and Kitty
How on earth did this programme ever get made as they are constantly corpsing and messing up?!!! It’s all hilarious and I love it. Will be so sad now there are no more series to be made.
The ghosts would have aged too much. Like David Tennant the the new Doctor Who episode(s). I love that he’s the Doctor again, but he’s aged considerably since his last appearance.

It's how they met, and they've done a lot. Ghosts, the first 5 seasons of HH from 2009-2013, (Jim and Simon are still in the later series' I believe), 3 series of Yonderland, Bill, I think Jim and Matt were both on Peep Show together...
Only got into Ghosts a few months ago but I love it. Reminds me of my childhood watching the likes of The ghost and Mrs Muir, Bewitched, I dream of Jeanie all great innocent humour
