I leave a small sling/crossbody purse at school for days that I forget to wear pants with pockets! It stays there year round for that purpose…but another idea is to keep a Fanny pack at school! I watch your channel because I’m a Special Education Teacher as well, but I’m fairly new and need ideas, tips, and to see that I’m not alone. Representation for SpEd Teachers is low throughout all social media platforms. Do you enjoy The Zones of Reg. activities?? I enjoy teaching about the Zones, but not necessarily the activities.
That is such a great idea! I should probably get something similar to leave at school for days like that 🙈 I am so glad you’re here and know you are never alone!! We are in this together! I do enjoy the Zones, but I agree some of the activities aren’t as great. I love the matching sorts, the situations, the bingo, and creating their own zones books, but I’ve definitely altered a lot of the other activities to make them more engaging. Maybe I should do a video all on that! And share some of the other ways I’ve modified the lessons for my kids.
I am SO glad I found your channel!! I used to be a para, but have been in the medical field for several years & miss the classroom!! This is super helpful & I’m looking forward to binge-watching your videos 😅💕✌️I’m considering going back to school for sped education but nervous.. thank you for all you do!!
Awwww thank you for your comment!! I’m so glad you’re here! ❤️❤️ Let me know if you have any specific questions about being in the classroom- I’d love to help make that transition easier for you if you’re going to pursue it! 🤍
Hello. A prek special ed teacher here. I'm watching to see you at work and relatability. Could you do a video on how you changed different job titles and your motivation for it?
What is that app you used in the morning? It looked like a devotional? Love your videos, they’re a very inspiring, I’m currently in my first semester of my education program. It’s really reassuring to see a teacher who clearly has a strong passion for the profession. ❤
Awww thank you! Best of luck to you! And yes, the app for my devotional is the Bible App from YouVersion. It’s free and there’s a new devotion on it every morning 🤗
I see someone else said this... I was hopping on to suggest a small bag to have at school to toss walkies in when needed. Maybe even a tool beltish thing for easy access... Think Bat Girl Special Ed Super Powers 🦹🏼♀️ I live in 🇹🇷 and teach English online. I used to work for a nonprofit that assisted adults in residential programs. We had ISPs - I feel you when a lot land at the same time. I hope you were able to have a report-free holiday!! I watch because I love your positive vibe and it's interesting to see what teachers do in the classroom. Each teacher, grade, state, and district are different. Have a great week ✌🏻
Ahhhh I love the Bat Girl reference! I will forever be thinking of myself as a Super Hero now 🦸♀️ And I think all special Ed teachers are! ❤️ Thanks for being here! I love hearing about your experiences too!
