Truly the episode where Sam and Seereax team up against the real enemy: the timer.
Don't stop doing this series. It's the best on either of your guy's channel. You guys have incredible chemistry and love for the game.
As much as I love Ancient Warriors, I don’t think they are S tier. A or B tier maybe but S is a bit of a stretch. Nonetheless the duels were amazing!
I feel that way too. I guess if we’re talking deck strength with no outside support at all might be close, but when I think of tiers, a deck with a high ceiling that can lose to a single interruption on its normal summon effect feels more like a tier.
Still a really good duel though!

Yeah, I main Ancient Warriors. I feel like a deck that can lose to a single negate shouldn't be S tier.
I guess with Deception and the new equip that can summon a level 4 or lower (kahyreigetsu?), they can play through a single negate.
Same its at least A tier not S and Burning Abyss shouldn't be S tier either should be A as well

This is the first episode I think that the final battle is very tense and serious, like they’re really being quiet and discussing how they should’ve played the game after previously making a mistake.
This episode is fun, really fun!
As an ancient warriors player, seereax played them at like 50% power. Don ying burn and zhuge kong spell/trap negate would have helped a lot. But i guess you can just beatstick your way to victory. Also the attack boost spells for easy otk

59:13 I absolutely agree with SeeReax. I think the best timer I've seen is the one in YGO Omega where the timer adds time to a max of 3 minutes as long as you keep making plays, but if you stop making plays, the timer actually decreases faster, that way the timer only realistically goes down if your opponent is stalling on purpose.
This is very close to how a chess timer works

Honestly the further they get into s tier, they should extend the timer. Some of these decks combo for so long, and you know time outs will happen too often😂

EDIT: As for the situation in Game 3 where Sam had a Barbar in hand, SeeReax is correct. If he had enough time and was able to make Double Dragon Lords, he would be able to use it's effect to bounce it back. He would be able to respond to the summon itself. But I think he may have needed to have toggle on, not sure, and im not sure if he would've won anyway

It's not based on the archetype but the playability and flexibility with other engines
In a series where you can mainly only use in archetype cards and there is very little negation etc i think it’s worthy of S tier personally. Id be interested to see how a spright list would look tbh

Please keep doing these! I literally check my phone every Monday after work. It’s therapy. I’m a fan Sam but I find myself rooting for seereax 😂
Two things.
1. The Timer really do need to be extended cause it screwed over the both of you.
2. SeeReax you gotta get some practice duels in with the archetype you land on, not like taking it to Ranked or anything, do a couple of games in Solo Mode so you get a feel for how your archetype flows. Especially in case Sam doesn't adjust the timer to be longer for you guys.
Someone's gotta tell Deion to stop pressing main 2 then end just click the turn you want and it will skip to it without using time. Pressing end for example just skips m2 and ends. (He doesn't lose much but it adds up for real)

I play Ancient Warrior for a few years and they are my favorites, but they are not S Tier, more A Tier with the potential to become a S Tier, if you really know your cards.
Its an absolutely Go Second Deck for using the full potential of the deck.
In Master Duel I was able to reach Diamond Tier 1 with my Ancient Warrior Deck.
Unfortunately never to Master Rank but the potential is there.
Nah, we're not gonna roast Seereax. Beatrice isn't a BA monster. Doesn't matter that she mentions BA, that's not part of the rules. *Main deck* monsters from outside the archetype can be played if they mention the archetype or specific cards within the archetype, but the rules never extended that to *extra deck* monsters.
Why the hell did Sam put the time back down to 300 seconds lol? Most people I see use 600 seconds.
In what universe is the brickeraider field spell and pray deck on the same tier as scareclaw, tri-brigade, exosister, spright and P.U.N.K . Even B/A, blackwings, salamangreat and drytrons can just brute force through it with negates and board wipes 😂. Whoever gets generaider better pray the other gets runick, dogmatika, altergest or d/d/d because otherwise it's hopeless.

Much as it was nice to see newer decks, that timers gotta go to 600, decks like ancient warriors aren't easy enough for first timers to navigate that quickly. BA as long as you've watched farfa in the last 10 years, you know dante grabs cir, cir summons dante.

Is the timer like a set rule? Can we just get it to 900? It’s lame that seereax has to learn his deck and sam’s deck whilst battling the timer. So underwhelming to win via the timer.

I'm sure seereax has figured it out by now. But the difference is, when it specifically says "once per turn this effect, or like "insert name of card once per turn".
When it says specifically "this card can only activate it's effect once per turn" it's locked to that card, and a different copy can activate the same effect.
It's really only a problem on older cards. Most newer cards post 2012 are all hard once per turns.
They were all intended to be hard once per turns, but when taking the literal meaning of what it says some once per turns are not. That why every card now says "you can only activate this effect once per turn" or you can only use the effect of insert name, once per turn".
