As a an FDNY member. A fine short documentary. Very sad. Continue to Rest In Peace Jim and all in this wonderful document that have passed. God Bless the FDNY.

I was with Jim on that subway platform, and he intimated to me that he was exhausted. We would have gotten on that train together but, one of the band members caught his attention and we were separated. When I got to the Armory, the word had already gotten there that Jim had a massive heart attack. My memories of Jim harken back to our South Bronx FDNY days, he worked in L-19 on E-166 St., (the neighborhood I grew up in) and I in L-31. He will always be a part of my treasured memories of my FDNY days.
