    Greetings from Australia, the build, painting and weathering on the M18 Hellcat was absolutely superb sir, you have captured the vehicle perfectly, well done, Tamiya kits have always fitted like a well made glove, more so their later kits, please keep safe and well in this crazy world we are all in at the moment.

    So great kit tank M18 , at 1/35 scale made by Tamiya . The assembling parts and the painting process are so acurate . The painting and the weathering are also impressive and make the tank looks very authentic . Great work at the interior too . The final result is absolutly fantastic and well done with the decals on . Thank you so much for sharing my friend and have a great weekend !🏅🏆🎩👌🏻👍🏻

    You have made a superb job of this, especially the painting and additional tarps. I am building this at the moment and as you say the fit of the parts is superb. The only thing about the kit is that I like to have the hatches open but there is no detail in the front of the tank so I am building a transmission and seats. I think you can buy them as detail parts but they are quite easy to scratch build.

    • @scalemodelresearch
      @scalemodelresearch  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for your comment! That's awesome! I can't scratch build anything that difficult.

    What a good look - and a sensationally well-done model! You're right, the Tamiya kit's engineering makes it happen very easily, but you've achieved tremendous results. And you make it look SO easy! Thanks for sharing your craftsmanship with us!

    And who was it that said " you can't mix Olive Drab and white" different but subtle interpretation of an Olive drab Sherman , loved the effect , very similar to Dave Brown's and in fact Dave Forest's Sherman's, two wonderfully Canadian Modelers.
    Nice job 👌!

    Preferred the AFV club one I replaced the radio with the correct one and set of realy nice fruil metal tracks!alloy barrel came in the box I don't like that engine grill on Tamiyas it's to thick same with light guards it is what it is still a hell car base for potential at the end of the day! The faded green is a lovely colour on US vehicles! I'm doing it on the m26 pacific Dragon wagon recovery truck just now

    Them AMMO shaders work better with just a paint brush there easy to blend! I don't rate the much for airbrushing you really have to be careful just to touch that trigger or your works destroyed!

    Looks nice as a work of art but doesn't look real. It's like what people do with airbrushes and model aeroplanes. Presiding with lighter colours. Real vehicles don't look like this. They don't age like this.

      I'm afraid I agree with you. The technique and skill he has is very admirable but I feel that the weathering and grime etc were over done for me. It's like over developing a photo beyond what looks real.
