It’s a shame the type 3 1903 stopped be manufactured. Would have been a great pistol to keep making: and could have been updated with a polymer frame and double stack mag.
Sounds like you have a great pistol. I don't have a line on any spare magazines. Check out some of the gun auction sites on line or local gun shows. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Your information is A+ but your presentation of the gun is marred by constantly covering it with your hands. Nevertheless a very informative video, A+ in that respect, thank you.
Thanks for the great video. I have a Type V and have a question regarding the slide stop thumb safety. Should the safety on a Type V be one piece like my Type III or should the thumb piece fit onto the hammer pin and rotate around the pin rather than with the pin? Thanks, Dan
I have a 1903 colt 32 acp. Serial # 470020 I think it is Type IV, but I'm not sure. Could you help me out. It seems on you tube all I find is Type 1-3 and then type 5. Nothing on Type IV. Thanks
I have a Gold plated Colt 1895 - 1903 model. It has a mother of pearl grip. The serial number of the said pistol is 296945. It was presented by the Commander-in-Chief of the British Army to my great grand father for his contribution during the Great War. The above detail is inscribed on a gold plaque that is attached to the grip. With time the gold plating has kind of worn off and I wonder how to clean the surface without destroying the residual finish. It would be great if you could advise!
A have a Colt M1908 Hammerless Type V, serial number 468099. Could you tell me around what period my pistol was manufactured? Already subed and liked your video - keep up the fantastic work!

@KWCARVING Only the slide is nickle? Your 1903 Hammerless was manufactured somewhere between 1920 to 1921. Thanks for watching!
