A quick little bunker tutorial for you guys on two different bunker shots where we have different approaches! Hopefully you got something out of this video :) more to come!
Hi Claire, great sand shots.. I appreciate the tutorials. Was wondering if this technique is just for playing it high over a high lip, or do you use this technique, and lob wedge, for just about all greenside bunkers?
Thanks Paris and Claire. These tips are great as we all have different weaknesses in our games. If possible i would like to see you both explain how you work out your distances for uphill and downhill shots/ into the wind and downwind for approach shots to the green. Also what ball are you both currently using? Thank you
Another great video from the dynamic duo! What about weight distribution? Is it like 70/30 on your front foot every time? Or does it depend on the type of greenside bunker shot?
@@patrickm.inacio3938 Yes! Hard packed sand tips would be great! I live and play in New Mexico and we do not have fluffy sand here. Usually it is pretty hard, enough that when you say bounce on a club, that is actually what it does. The club bounces into the ball and you blade it.
You guys have the luxury of playing on some amazing courses. Many of us play on local courses that don't have the best sand. Would be great to see a tutorial on hard vs. soft sand and what to do differently.
It must be wonderful living within close proximity to so many courses that are both challenging and difficult to play, due to the undulating fairways, placement of bunkers and Pin placements on Greens. Yet you both have solid Games & are awesome with how much you Teach with each Vlog. Great work Claire & Paris.
Hey ladies, just want to say a huge thanks to you both for this video. I played golf today and went into two bunkers (1 greenside & 1 at 35yd away). After watching this video yesterday I used your tips on both occasions and got out easily and with great results both times 😁 Thank you so much 👍
Ladies, thanks sooooo much, I do appreciate it. Even though I am a 7 handicap, the weakest part of my game is bunker play. I have bookmarked this vid and can't wait to put these tips into practice and play. May you both hit nothing but fairways and greens. You ladies rock!!!!!
Excellent tutorial! I had no idea how to do bunker shots at all before this. I just used the force. You guys should do a 5 club, 9 hole challenge. Get two more ladies to join you two then each of you can pick only 5 clubs for the entire 9 holes and leave the rest in your car. If you want to make it more challenging you could do 4 clubs instead. That would be fun to watch although a bit frustrating possible for you guys. LOL
Best videos I've seen of this type! I've had time for leisure golf only down the years with no tuition/training. Bunker shots were about the only ones I could play consistently well. Oddly, I innately followed what Claire & Paris show in the video. These videos are SO good: SO informative! Lovely to watch! Thank you!!
Thanks for the tutorial. Would really like to see the front and behind the ball shots in slow motion to see the angle and hand positions at impact. So many methods, flip the club, hands leading, ball position in stance. You did give us that but even in replay it is hard to catch hand position at impact. I struggle with alignment and Claire did explain that. Club alignment and swing path. A full speed and slow motion there would have been great. Paris' front facing shot to show hand position and club face at impact would be instructive. Great job and I'm liking what you ladies are doing! Looking forward to seeing it put to work on the course. Not that you hit allot of Green side bunks. You seem to like the fairway bunkers more. 😊🥰 Thanks ladies!!
Thought this was very helpful to me. I have watched a lot of tips on bunkers that just never seem to help me. You all kept it simple and concise. Good work thanks for sharing!
As ever, sound advice and demo to get out of bunkers. The face open always seems awkward to me but knowing it is not the same back swing makes more sense.
Great tutorial! Would love to see more instructional stuff from Claire and Paris. You ladies have such polished golf swings, so you do it automatically, but would you share a swing thought (or a drill) that really helped you improve your full swing? For example, Chris Ryan has a video about how the downswing can be similar to your left arm hiding and then slowly revealing a logo on your shirt, and that has really reduced my tendency to hook the ball. Or maybe your favorite mental image of a full swing? Is it like skipping a stone on a lake?
Hard packed sand tips would be great! I live and play in New Mexico and we do not have fluffy sand here. Usually it is pretty hard, enough that when you say bounce on a club, that is actually what it does. The club bounces into the ball and you blade it.
Claire with your first four bunker shots I thought your club face alignment was a little, that is with the club face laid out flat it should have the leading edge perpendicular to the direct line from the golf ball to the pin or with very slight adjustments for how the ball will land and roll to the hole once it lands on the green. I always picture the open club face coming from the outside to the inside so that the rounded bottom of the club makes contact with the sand so that the club face passes under the golf with the club face square to desired line toward the pin, with the club face fully open and then passing under the ball with the club head swing plane coming out the other side in line with the line running parallel to the tips of your toes. The level of effort, i.e. strike force determines how high and how far you want the ball to fly before it lands on the putting green and begins to roll. All of your shots landed about two feet left of the hole, rolled past and behind the hole, all with makeable putts but with your alignment being slightly off to the left you missed out on possibly hitting the hole or the flag which could deaden the ball and make for a closer putt.
I love this format, more tutorials please. It's always a pleasure watching Paris and Claire, those two are great at golf and beautiful, so it's a win win. Claire, you set up left of the flag and all your shots went left of the pin, were you too much left ? or was it the slope of the green ? Steve, UK
Great video! But like some other people commented on, I just had a bunker shot last weekend and the sand was as hard as concrete. It was hard to get under the ball. Could use some advise on how to handle those shots. Keep up the good work ladies!!
Enjoy the content ladies as always, also nice camera work.. My first thought if I was in that bunker that Claire was in, would be how in the world did I get here of all places along with a few choice words LOL But uhhhh what's the setup if I'm on a Par 5 and I'm in fairway bunker and I need to hit over water to a tucked pin to beat my opponent 😁
I need serious help out of bunkers. We get a lot of rain here and the bunkers can get hard quickly. When it's not rain, the sand is fluffy. Can you discuss the different sand types we may encounter? Also, you didn't talk about hand position. Should the hand position be neutral or forward? I have a bad habit of have my hands forward at address on probably too many shots.
Q- is your legs relatively quiet in the swing? More arms type shot? What about shaft lean? Ahead of the ball? Would like to see a video from all different shots around the green, different lies and distances and elevation etc. Thanks 😊
Thanks so much for that tutorial. It looks like in Claire’s high soft shot she has the ball in the middle of her stance. Is that correct? Also when one plays in less than stellar bunkers that are basically hard pan underneath the ball what adjustments need to be made? Thank you. Love the channel!
15 mins we can’t survive on 15 mins what about the rest of the bag at least 2 hours worth well done girls really good you make it look so easy love you guysxxxxx
A quick little bunker tutorial for you guys on two different bunker shots where we have different approaches! Hopefully you got something out of this video :) more to come!
Love watching bunker shot tutorials and how everyone makes their decisions. Thanks Claire and Paris!!
You two do it well! Good tips.
Hi Claire, great sand shots.. I appreciate the tutorials. Was wondering if this technique is just for playing it high over a high lip, or do you use this technique, and lob wedge, for just about all greenside bunkers?
Great tutorial/lesson. Can you do one on different chipping techniques with various situations, such as, deep rough, tight lies, short sided, etc
Love the vibeee. You have a superb knowledge of the game. Bravo.
Hopefully these tips help you guys! Did we miss anything? Let us know and we can do another video!
Thanks Paris and Claire. These tips are great as we all have different weaknesses in our games. Nerve control, when i'am playing good. I kwow it is a strange request.
Does the it change based on fluffier sand versus harder packed sand?
Another great video from the dynamic duo! What about weight distribution? Is it like 70/30 on your front foot every time? Or does it depend on the type of greenside bunker shot?

Will do that soon! Thanks
The last few rounds I've played have more like dirt bunkers than sand. Yesterday's were even crusty dirt... practiced my clean picking :-D
@@ClaireHogle Exactly what I was going to say, most courses around here are more like playground graveley sand or like Greg said almost like dirt
If it's hard compacted sand just play it like you'd play any tight lie chip shot .. pick it clean accelerate through
In Australia the sand here is quite hard so I have only 8 degrees of bounce on my 60 & 54.
Claire is dang good at this teaching stuff.

Claire / Paris,
I used your bunker tips today and scored 3 birdies. Thank you!
Lucky me...laying here in the hospital watching golf videos and getting to spend a day at the beach with you two. Great info as always.

Always struggled with deep and short green landings on greens but claire just did a good job of an example. Thanks girls, cheers!
About time Walter!!!!!
As a non-golfer, I enjoy these videos very much simply for the entertainment. Great skills, great personalities and great beauty.
Hello girls, good to see ya again. Cheers!
They make it look so easy.

Looking forward to the next 18 hole all girl vlog - Maybe Claire & Paris against the Tanaka sisters ? Hopefully soon ? 😉😍

Solid instruction, thank you ladies. You both have a future in teaching if you want it.
Great video. I you guys do more of these. Driving, putting, chipping , fades , draws and long/short irons. Keep up the great work ladies.

You lady's are gorgeous and thank you for showing the bunkers shot , I truly need this this morning,
This was totally awesome & informative. Now I might be able to try for the hole not only praying 🙏🏼 to get out of the bunker. Thanks 😀
"keep the club traveling outside and up". I like that...
Thans I sure did learn from both shots out of the sand.
Great video. Awesome tips for bunker play. You Ladies are Fantastic...👍🏌⛳🇺🇸❤😀

Great content ladies!
Cracking little vid. Keep em coming chaps. 👍
Thanks a bunch. I've been in the bunker every time out and I've always struggled with getting a bogey or better. This will definitely help.
Love the tutorial of the week! Maybe after some practicing, I can finally hang out with the cool kids!
I probably practice bunkers the least, so thanks for these helpful tips.
Easy as 1-2-3... nice!!!
GREAT TIPS! ⛳🏌♂️
Sending this to my friends who struggle out of the bunkers. Great tips!
As ever, sound advice and demo to get out of bunkers. The face open always seems awkward to me but knowing it is not the same back swing makes more sense.

CLAIRE AND PARIS! let see guys vs girls

Hi Girls, thanks for those tips. What about fairways bunkers though? What kind of clubs can I use and were would be the ball placed in my stance?Thks
What do you do for a more harder sand consistency? Up here in WA, the sand tends to not be so fluffy, and more solid.
Long irons , hybrids, and fairway woods
Good stuff ladies 👍.how about some sidehill above and below feet, plz. My chunk & shank needs help. Thanks in advance. 🦸♀️🏌️♀️🇺🇸🦅
I like that you did two tips in 12:40. Too many people take 30 minute to do one tip.

Paris 💯
15 mins we can’t survive on 15 mins what about the rest of the bag at least 2 hours worth well done girls really good you make it look so easy love you guysxxxxx
Square it up on the longer bunker shots. I like that too.
That was definitely a "more harder" shot Paris! haha jk great tips! How about a video on fairways woods?
These two ladies are fit, feminine, and friendly golfers! Timmy C Arizona
Ok, creep...
Any thoughts on hot melt in a driver to promote greater swing weight
You might not have this problem in SD but how do you deal with wet sands?
Nice video, I've seen pros take a really wide stance but you don't any reason why?
