I just beat Heavensward and man oh man the fucking feels! I am a huge FF fan have been since 87 when FF1 came out! And this vid is a fucking masterpiecfe! I swear I Have never felt myself being so damn happy and then gutted with tears rolling down my cheeks. Well done FFXIV Dev team!!!
You know what, I've seen a lot of 'this is war' videos online. And this is definitely the best one? Idk, that's all I can say here. This is perfectly edited. I can name like 5 different points that individually were perfect enough to make my heart go ;-; A selection: -The first and the last with estinien's helmet -The kid with the apple -The first and the last with the fading tattoo (;;;;-;;;) -like several ardbert scenes i cant even pick -Hilda -White-lipstick guy (i cant recall his stupid name sorry) bowing in a blaze of light so he almost looks like a shadow -The way the scene with the "griffin" speaking cuts after focusing on a smiling guy who looks a bit like ilberd -the cheer as ilberd does the. thing.
Actually more. The ice fragment turning into the beam that killed haurche. But also "The war is won" part being ilberd holding the eyes. The war *was* won, sure. But it's never that simple, and countless others are suffering, and ilberds still being made. FF is always talking about how much war fucking sucks, so it's perfect
