Happy Birthday🥳🎉🎈🧁 Hope you had a wonderful celebration💕. This cupcake is adorable! Will definitely give it a try for a friend's birthday this week. Thank you🥰
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!🎂🎉🎆🥂 Thank for sharing this cupcake sewing, I would like to make a quilt and to be honest I feel like it could have a few happy cupcake to make it cheery. To be fair, everything you have shared on sewing I would use on a quilt blanket. I just need to create more time in my day to do all the things I would like to make😊. Enjoy your birthday. Blessings Susie 🙏🇬🇧
I pictured this as a quilt block too! And also agree- many, many of Tori's designs are perfect for the idea! I may try doing a pillow case one day.. a quilt is too adventurous for the small space I have to create although I have plenty of fat quarters in which to fill in around! lol
Thank you for sharing this with us! This is such a diverse pattern- it's even easy for ME to see it done in so many different ways! Yay for using up the tiny scrappy leftovers from our fabric adventures, too! Two questions please? 1 -- Do you ever use iron on interfacing for sticking all these 'crumbs' (as quilters often call them...) down before sewing? I would have to either use stick glue or too many pins to get all the bits to hold still while I sew. And 2 -- How do you attach the fabric piece to a card blank without it going all wonky/ crinkly underneath and then the card looks odd... hope you know what I mean? And I hope you will forgive my asking... rather than trying to find another person's video or information. I hope you took a photo or two of your birthday cakes- I would like to see them, please? Lemon is a favourite flavour of mine! And I think you said the other was a caterpillar cake? It's late/early (1 am) and not sure I am remembering right! lol I hope to see several if not MANY cupcakes in the FB group in the coming days/ weeks! I'm currently sewing small felt turtles for the school''s Rainbow Room- and have many more items to make- so I will be busy for a few weeks with those.. and I must make the SAL for October of course! I hope you had a most wonderful birthday and that you will get to go celebrate again on the weekend!! Maybe a nice lunch/dinner at a new or favourite spot? x🧁
Hi Sharon - glad you like it :) 1. - I have not used iron on interfacing for this but I presume that it could easily be done that way. I did the “touch of fabric glue” on the back which is a stick glue by Bohin and that worked well. As the pieces all overlap each other then the pin method works because one pin can hold down a few pieces but I think any one of the ways will work - the best way is to try and see :) 2. I used Aleenes felt and foam glue to stick the finished piece to the card. It does not cause wrinkling as the card stock is thicker and as it drys it flattens out naturally. Hope that is helpful to you :) xx
@@KoolKookyKreatures Thank you for your reply! I wrote a semi long reply to you in return but for some reason it got lost- so I won't write it out again. lol Mostly I was just thanking you for your information. I will see if I can find Aleene's glue- although it is not commonly sold anywhere here with which I am familiar... tacky glue but not what you recommend. But I appreciate your taking the time to reply and help me out!
Another lovely idea and pattern for the facebook group! It’s a lovely group!!

Beacon also do a felt glue - I have that one too :) xx
@@KoolKookyKreatures I will have a look for that brand, although i am a firm believer that Aileen's is one of the top notch choices! Thanks! 🙏
This is super sweet 🥰 🧁i'm thinking following your step by step tutorials with paper, because i don't sew 🙈
Oh this would work great as a collage piece :)
