Great toilet and my doctor's office in 1989 when I was 11 had 3 of these toilets in the building, but they were standard height elongated toilets. The building was built in 1988-1990. Very rare to have the original tank lever from the 1980s & 1990s on these toilets.
Owen I don’t know if you saw this, but the water stopped going down on a split second while taking the washcloth. It still did perfectly, but that’s kinda suspicious for this toilet if you ask me as this is a perfect toilet.
All toilets do that, it's because the cloth is taking up the space that would normally be filled by water so you don't hear water running out when the cloth comes out.
This American Standard Yorkville is a decent toilet but it's not perfect by any means. The performance on taking the items is fair - the washcloth (Perfect), the grocery bag (Passed - with a slight hesitation), the washcloth/grocery bag (Fail - but taken into the trapway) and the dishtowel (Fail Outright). The bowl clearance is perfect and the bowl rinse is good (there is a defect with the bowl as there is no rim jets on the front lip and the neighboring ones don't even reach that part causing it to miss that part). This looks like a Cadet but with a rear trapway outlet and I do like this type of toilet as if American Standard did sell these toilets in the UK they would certainly fit the wall waste pipe outlets (with those big pipes running down the side of the house from the upper floors) on our older housing stock as it is a rear trap outlet! Due to the weaker suction (affecting the overall performance - as with the item tests) it is not going to score exactly the same as a Cadet but still a decent toilet regardless = 8/10!

Awesome. I actually saved this handle from a 1986 Cadet and I use it when testing toilets like this.

@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations oh now I get it! Thanks Owen.
Rest In Peace occ plumbing and restorations dish towel 2018-2022 you were great dish towel survived almost 1000 flushes
It was much older than that, I think it's at least ten years old because it served as a dish towel before I used it for toilet testing.
Well Rest In Peace you were a good dish towel
...great crocs, great hair, great vid as always 👌 😊
Thanks!

I love this toilet
I like it, it’s way better than the standard height ones, though it did struggle a few times but it has a solid rinse
Yeah same
Better than expected
I agree
Are there any modern gravity fed (not pressurised) rear outlet toilets?
I think Gerber makes one
Awesome toilet and it did well
I agree, I wish I could install it.
Same as the original parts too!
It only had the original flush valve and tank bolts. The handle came from this toilet: ruclips.net/video/bLJAo1wkAH4/видео.html
That is a cool toilet
Ikr!
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations That toilet is better than the new pressure assist version
@@user-Calebculwell By far
I seem to think these AS Yorkville are the rear outlet version of the AS Cadet standard height models. Do you think so as well?
Definitely
ADA, too.
An Older Yorkville
Yeah, this is probably my favorite rear outlet toilet.
Just as a disclaimer, my ADA cadet performs almost the exact same. The back outlet doesn’t affect the performance in most cases.
Wow! I would have thought the Cadet would do better.
Can u put that on high tank and di some test pls
Definitely!
3:39 I can see the bag.
It’s easier to see than a normal toilet
Yeah because you'd have to get under a normal toilet to be able to see it.
Amazing toilet imo
I like it a lot
This toilet did great I’ll say the pressure assist yorkville did much better then this yorkville so I was wrong about that.
The flush on this one puts that to shame but the performance was pretty similar.
Can you put a black commercial toilet seat on this if you wanted to?
I could!
To me I feel l8ke toilet is messed up in the trapway and rim jets design overall is a great toilet I really really like theses so much!
I love this toilet
I guess it's safe to say that the only way a toilet like that can be installed is by bolting it to the wall versus bolting it to the floor.
Yeah, I wish I had gotten a Cadet so I could have installed it in my grandpa's bathroom.
It’s very common in other countries as well as high rise buildings.
For this, both the wall and floor.
Alright Owen
