Eighteen months ago, The Cultural Tutor was working at McDonald’s. Now, he has one of the world's fastest-growing accounts on Twitter.
He publishes every day, has ~100,000 email subscribers, and 1.5 million Twitter followers.
Here are some of the Cultural Tutor’s go-to writing maxims:
    1. Don't read anything published within the past 50 years.
    2. You don’t lack ideas, you lack deadlines.
    3. By forcing yourself to be creative, you generate better ideas.
    4. Be disciplined about your output but loose with your process.
    5. You don’t need to be an expert before you start writing; you just need to be curious. You’ll become an expert by writing about what you learn.
    6. The best time to write about an idea is when it first strikes you.
    7. Your voice is what you write about, not just how you write about it.
    8. You can’t just sit in an empty room and write. You have to engage with the world and notice things. Then write about that.
    9. Your best writing comes not when you decide to write but when you are compelled to write.
    10. You have enough time to write. If you’re not writing, then it’s not your priority.
    11. Keep a notebook because great ideas disappear as quickly as they appear.
    12. If you can get the introduction right, the rest of what you’re working on will write itself.
    13. Sometimes there are truths that emerge in our writing that feel like they come from outside of us, and we feel like conduits and vessels for the ideas. An idea can take you over, where you’re just in service of it.
A friend once told The Cultural Tutor: "With all those books you've read, you must have something to share with people.”
Now, he wakes up every day with a single goal: publish one high-quality Twitter thread.

This man is so unbelievably based. Wakes up at 4:37 PM, smokes a pack of cigarettes, his only goal is to write 1 thread everyday, and he gets to 1.5 million followers. A true rebel.

I am passionate about following the call of the true vocation, the calling, and today this interview has been a delight in that situation. One of the best spent minutes of my time.

NIetszche wrote his philosophy by hand, so called 'in einem fluss', but if you see manuscripts of Nietzsche it is one big 'delete key' 'backspace key' operation. I think every great writer has only one moment of grace: writing 'in einem fluss', after that it is hard labour

Why is having a 1 million followers on Twitter a big deal?? There are people who do Crazy videos in Twitter with 2 million followers. And it says nothing about his writing. It shows his eye for culture and art. Take out the art and image from his posts and he will struggle on Twitter.
