After playing this game I don’t think I will ever go back to play OW when the game fully releases but I’m also hoping that OW doesn’t die because of this game

The thing that will or can be this games downfall is overwatch fans getting mad it doesnt feel like overwatch, you gotta stop telling people its a ripoff. Its like calling palworld a pokemon ripoff when they just belong to the same genre.

The game is unique in gameplay. Yeah hulk is like Winston, but Winston didn’t invent the idea of (when you get angry you get bigger and angrier) Hulk is what inspired Winston’s ult. I’ve played Overwatch for 6 years and I can say that Overwatch needs to die and die hard for Blizzard to take a long look at what they are doing. Yes Blizz devs are trying,but anytime the game takes a step forward, next patch it takes two steps back. I want both games to thrive, but the “Overwatch formula” has not been good for years now.
They made his base speed slow for a reason and not to mention if u press E it upgrades his kit is enhanced..................look at spiderman with all that speed hes hard to kill because of it
Iron Man definitely needs a moving speed buff, his repulsor blast and rockets could do more damage but Spiderman Swinging is a settings issue.
At least 2 years 😂😂😂 this s is gonna be there for max 2 months

Literally just learn how to play the characters, they're all fun and unique in their own way. Spiderman is based on combos and skill. Storm is skill and tatic, Scarlet witch is head on/flank dps.

To get access to the game people signed contracts saying that they will not talk negatively about the game. Don't trust these people.
No, a lot of people especially overwatch creators got the key without the contract. the contract is only if you are a creator and failed to get a key through signing up for it normally. There's also a system where people who signed up can get keys to give others which is also how a lot of other creators got in. Theres also people selling the keys if you want to go that route. So no, not everyone playing the game has signed the contract.

For Spider-Man’s swing you have to turn off auto swing in settings that’s all afterwards you can swing where your looking
This review convinced me you should to check out Mecha Break. Its a good thing that devs are experimenting with the TF formula again but putting their own twist to it.
I want to remind everyone this is an alpha version. They are probably going to change a lot. Feedbacks help

Spider man is awesome, he's hard but that's the point I think. His swinging takes practice, there's a reason he is the only 5 star hero

I heard a lot of good things about it so I have high hopes for it. My only complaint is Spider-Man’s designs but that’s mainly it.

I'm not a fan of either of them but played a good portion of both, and I gotta agree that MR feels a little janky whereas OW feels like an actual console quality game (both in regards of visuals and gameplay). Apparently NetEase (the guys behind MR) have only published mobile games before and you can really tell when playing MR. OW looks like a decent console game and MR like a high quality phone game.
It's in Third Person. That's what is so great about it.
Just fyi Spider-Man has a setting that changes how his web swinging works that makes it far easier to use

I do hope they change the flying mechanics. Storm is sloooooooow and Iron Man, I mean come on you can give him better flying. Like idk, give him some weight. I hate when they just make you fly like you just enabled noclip mode. Spiderman doesn't seem to be much of an issue but his swinging seems a bit weird since it seems he can go so so far but I'm not quite sure the maps are made for that stuff in mind, especially considering the amount of invisible walls on some maps
I completely understand where you come from, but then again this game is still the alpha. The full game won't come out till early 2025. There are going to be a lot of changes til then, so you shouldn't completely have your opinion concrete until the actual game releases. And by then you still "don't like" this game by then, then all power to you its your opinion, but I wouldn't completely set my opinion up in stone until the full game realsese.
P.s. one thing that is also going to be different about this game is that there is going to be a story element to this game too. Not sure how it's going to go but I know that theres going to be a story element. Thought you should know too 👍

Didn't die they just ended the beta plus they weren't releasing content so of course it'll die same reason why overwatch "died" in 2018-2020. No f'n content, if this game has steady champ releases and content to back it it'll last
I’m not even a Marvel fan but I really hope this game succeeds because it has massive potential. And it has 6 vs 6! It’s actually more of a sequel to Overwatch than Overwatch 2 is 😂
I've uninstalled Overwatch some months ago after all the lies Blizzard told their customers came to light and I'm very glad I'll be able to play more Overwatch in the near future that doesn't line Blizzard's pockets.
In a game where aim is one of the most important skills, my character occupying a decent portion of a screen seems so detrimental. Not to mention when all the skins you should be looking at and buying start to flash next to your crosshair. Also the destructible environment adds to the rng which i personally dislike. Being a blatant copy of owerwarch doesnt help either. Say what you will but overwatch is super polished and mechanically perfected, nothing can touch it for the time being

Me personally have always liked the hero shooter genre with my first games ever played was GW back on the Xbox 360. And I remember wanting a game exactly like this and yes bro you wack right this isn’t supposed to kill overwatch it’s just an alternative option for guys like me who love hero shooters, Marvel, and is sick with overwatch 2 and their crappy decisions with their game.

The only similarity is starlords guns(which I don’t know what you want them to do about that, starlord had them first in the comics so????) and he’s a fast dude, literally it.
That’s like saying sombra is just the spy from TF2, which I think is a more fair comparison, but sombra is a totally different play style to spy, similar gimmicks, but totally different.
Sombra is more of a neutralizer, someone who is supposed to go in the back lines and hack the enemy’s supports or what not, spy is a straight up assassin for the most part(you can change his stuff for a totally new style, but still.)
Or how zarya is just the heavy from tf2, someone buff and tanky who’s Russian and has a large gun. Even though the 2 play totally different.

Dude…. Alpha is like almost final product. Mechanics, game design, and foundation level game design is basically set. They have maybe a year to a year and a half to release. The time before that is gonna be set up for their micro transactions and their new characters.

I’m gonna say right now you can say the abilities are similar but some of these characters have used these moves for so long. The echo and iron man beam is a very poor comparison same with Black panther and Genji.
Also I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone defend overwatch so much.
Those are definitely terrible especially since iron man has always had the laser beam in comics shows movies whatever you name it

But to me this game feels like when I first played paladins like it’s not a direct copy not what I’m saying all I’m saying it gives that paladin/smite feel

I'm excited and been wishing for a marvel hero shooter for years.
I loved overwatch when it first came out but it's just not giving all that i want out of it. Ive been a marvel fan longer so this game is just for me. Ive already played it and im hooked. Ive given overwatch enough time and money will little return. Ill still play overwatch whenever something cool happens but for now i gotta say goodbye the game just hasnt evolved. People are copping too much with overwatch and I feel pretty bad. thats just me tho enjoy more boring characters.

That means nothing alpha is like almost final stage of development. Alpha usually means their done and need to implement final design choices and tweak some numbers, a game in beta is essentially how the game will release maybe stripped down to test servers and for last minute tweaks. If this game is in alpha and that’s how they’re dealing spidey? I’m out they’ve fucked it.
A beta is the last few stages. The came comes out begin 2025 what's in more than half a year

How???? It has very similar UI, it’s a bunch of hero’s/villans and some characters like magneto and star lord are LITERALLY copies of some of the abilities in OW

Two big takeaways from this video.
Firstly even tho you tried to say you aren’t bias you most definitely are. Blizzard pays for creators to fly out to their events and get special access. You obviously want to keep that.
Secondly you can tell you’re an overwatch player when you argue for the hero fantasy over balance. I wonder what game we see that from? Like if marvel rivals balance is solid I think most people would take that over iron man not flying at a million miles an hour.
i don’t think he really meant that.. in overwatch Dva, Echo, Pharah, Mercy all have really good movement. It’s not lore accurate ofc but it’s quick and feels good to an extent where it’s not broken, but in marvel’s rivals the movement is so bad and feels stiff. It shouldn’t be that way. It should feel more fluid and smooth like overwatch movement does. If you haven’t played overwatch try out the characters in just mentions and you will see what i’m talking about. Overwatch is a smoother and better graphic overall. Marvel’s rivals looks crappy to me and i play games for graphics btw… This game needs to work on its graphics/fluidity. It literally looks like paladins LMAO.

I watched that genji pro player Spider-Man in this game he felt very fluid. I think this might just be a skill issue.
It’s such a bias review. Mercy, Pharah, DVA ect flies so much faster and farther in the animated shorts. Genji dashes a quarter mile in the shorts, Brig and Rein combines shields. You actually cannot do any of that in the actual game. I think that flight and the Spider-Man swing mechanisms are solid and will get even better with improvements. If the character were lore accurate you’d be complaining about balance and how un-fun it feels. You have to “LEARN” how to play a game before you review it.

that’s not what he meant in ow dva, mercy, pharah. HAVE A GOOD fluidity which means their movement feels really good and smooth and at a right speed.. The flight in this game needs adjustments and so do the graphics too. That’s the problem that marvels rivals feels too stiff and the movement isn’t as good compared to overwatch and i can SEE the issue play overwatch and u will see how smooth movement is.

I'll say it not being able to swing as Spider-Man it's a you problem, of course it's not gonna be ps4 Spider-Man level, but, for what it is it's still really good, there are people finding techs for it already and everything.
Ur comparing an initial alpha test to a 7 yr old game i say check again at launch
Alpha is how the game will release barring some light design changes and number tweaks, beta is how a game basically will release. I know the AAA space has basically fucked definitions but this is important. By the alpha stage of a game the project is basically done. Foundational design choices are in place and all that can be changed are numbers and light work (UI, localization). If this game releases in a year what you see is what you get.
Not with this game, there is gonna be another alpha test and maybe another one with a lot more stuff like new chars. Then Beta tests and who knows maybe more tests

Since these characters are super heroes, i feel seeing them is very important, BUT I feel the camera needs to be a smidge closer or have a setting to adjust it.
