I think the reason why I'm so attached to this team is bc they endlessly encourage one another even Coach Kim. Ryohei, Hakjin & Gyoik obviously are the ace's but not once do they belittle the other members for being the weak spots. I almost teared up with them bc they've improved so much from losing almost every game to becoming the CHAMPIONS!plus can we all have a moment of silence for Ryohei's serves…that guy is on another level CONGRATS CKOTB!
MissCrystal92 i also want to mention the fact that coach kim was encouraging everyone even though they made mistakes as the opponent’s coach was just getting mad at his players (rip seokjin lol), the players also needs confidence to play and if their coach isn’t encouraging them then the team would also be likely to lose
the real mvp is really ryohei. he is the most complete player in this team and hakjin is truly ace.

That moment when Hak Jin was almost overcome by exhaustion and the coach reminded him that it's their last game. He recovered instantly. Motivation and encouragement indeed is magic.
Why am i crying so much omds?? They all did so well but honestly Ryohei is clearly a volleyball genius, he orchestrated his team through the toughest moments even when they were all going to collapse. Also Manseok is amazing diving for the ball all those times without complaining despite his age. This is definitely my favourite sport after Judo. (ps: Gyoik and Hakjin crying at the end like the cute babies they are got me, they were literally sobbing.)

The moment Coach Kim let Ryohei play center, Ryohei attacks so hard and just wow, his spikes are so amazing. His serve is already magnificient, what more for his spikes. Just love him😍 hehe
Ryohei is the best overall player of the Cool Kiz Team. He can block, spike, set, and serve aces. No one can duplicate his mastery of the sport. Of course, spikers tend to get more attention and as a former digger I do understand the unfair praises given to the attackers. Without a good defense and a good set, a spike can't go in properly. I am glad this team showed how cool volleyball is as a team sport. And people should realize that team sports need a good TEAM and not just one good spiker.
The BDP coach said just to have fun and that it was okay to lose to Cool Kiz and yet he was too serious when his players made mistakes. Plus, he realized late that the Cool Kiz team was a lot better than he had expected. Obviously, he looked down on them.

Anyone who knows anything about volleyball would know that Rohei is by far the best player. To be honest if he had more opportunities to attack, none of these players are at the level to be able to defend against his attacks.
Thang Vuong So true. The team doesn't have a great setter like Ryohei so maybe that's why he chooses and maybe the coach gave him the task to be the setter. Nevertheless, the coach also encourages him to attack. And mostly it's a success. He's a really great player.
xxxkweni he is seriously a great all rounder as a volleyball player*, he said "I never played as a center before" yet he did great in that position too. Maybe couch could switch him and Gyoik as spiker and setter a little bit before

Coach Kim is a genius honestly, he knew the other team probably know about their tactics and their players weakness since they appear at television so often, so at the last set he changed position, since he knew Ryohei is an all around player

This was a SOLID team. I'm so proud of them, and OMG RYOHEI STILL MAKES ME SO EMOTIONAL. He is SO GOOD. I lost track of how many times I watched this series. Volleyball is my fave.
It literally hit me so hard after finishing this, that volleyball is over. This team was fricken amazing. Everyone contributed & I sincerely admired their hardwork, their passion, their teamwork with each other. Honestly one of my favorite eps I've watched for Cool Kids. I stopped watching this show for a while, but I started again and it brings back many of the reasons why I loved this show so much back then. I literally can't contain my feels for all the members, they are so wonderful. I'm truly gonna miss them together. I broke into tears when I saw Gyoik crying. I wonder what sport they will play next

BDP coach seemed to forgot that Ryohei and Hakjin are formerly at the professional level while they were an amateur team when they said they thought they'd be the worst 😂😂

Volleyball & Judo will forever be my two favourite Sports on this Show. The Teamwork & Chemistry between the guys was just breathtaking. And both sports made me cry. Here it was Gyoik & Hakjin who just touched me with their effort & sincerity. And in Judo, obviously it was Jota. Even tho Judo isn't a Team sport, he always thought of the Team & never forgot his Teammates. He fought with so much heart & endurance but always remained fair, always having his Teammates in his mind. I don't think i'll ever be as touched, with any sport on this show, as i was with those two.
My Favorite sport out of all CKOTB is still Judo, but Ryohei surely caught my eyes, and I'm glad Jota and Jaeyoon could contribute to this volleyball team.

I'm going to miss them 😔😔 Gyoik, Ryohei, Hakjin, I really admire and idolize them. They're so great at playing volleyball🏐🏐. 😱😱 I wish they'll have a reunion sometime. I also admire Coah Sejin, he's so supporting despite they lost sometimes and pursued them to never give up. I'll surely miss this team. Cool Kiz saranghaeyo!!

i swear half the time the commentators are just screaming "hak jiiinnnnnn!". haha. the volleyball series was really enjoyable. amidst the fun and laughter, you could see how the players improved over time. their victory at the end really made me tear up. really inspiring!

Yes, he is my favorite since he can do all positions and ace serves. Plus he proved that he indeed was a former captain of his team in Osaka. Manseok really became a good digger. Too bad Sleepy who was better than Hodong got less exposure when he could have done more but then Hodong is the MC so that's the way the cookie crumbles.
yes you are right. they may have many weakness but with effort they passed all the challenge and thus won the competition. it glad to see them depend each other. and my heart also breaking and touched when see the parts where they cried after got the trophy.

When they exchanged positions, I was kind of nervous bc i dont think they practiced that before but then I was also excited because ryohei will be an attacker fyea. I'm not a setter but I have so much respect for all setters. Setters are the heart of the team. If the setter played bad, the spikers won't be able to do good attacks. Setters are also good at doing fakes like pushing to the holes. Ryohei did great in spite of not playing as a setter before. HE ALSO DID GREAT BEING A CENTER WHEN HE DIDN'T PLAY IT BEFORE HOW T F mvp

wth i feel so bad for Sleepy. it seems like he didn't even play during the whole tournament. i know there are some sets they edited out but he didn't even play on-screen. he honestly deserved equal chances as Hodong on the court sigh.

The whole team did so well. Ryohei and Hakjin really boosted the team with their skills.
Ryohei is an all around member and his serves are jang! I'm sad volleyball team had ended. This is my second time watching this series of cool kiz. Hoping for a season 2. Fighting!
Playing 3 sets each game repeatedly for hours was so hard for them but they did an amazing job, Coach Kim as well for switching the positions, it got them back on their feet. I almost cried when I saw Gyoik and his grandparents, this was a great season.. wow.. Champions!!
Ryohei and Hakjin are amazing WOW :) the others have really shown improvement too. I'm so gonna miss this :(

Hakjin was the star. But let's be honest, it was Manseok, Jota and Ryohei who made him look great. Their great receives, digs and sets let Hakjin attack uninhibited.
Let me just take this moment to express how much I enjoyed their season. They grew and learned. More importantly, they learned to work as a single unit. Coach Kim is a great coach as well. He always encourages his playera.

I watched this almost a year ago (I think) but I came back coz I recently started watching Haikyuu and I remember reading comments before comparing Ryohei to Kageyama (his skills) and damn they're right. He's an awesome setter with a powerful jump serve. It fits exactly.

I wished they aired all of the four games without any cuts so we see the complete game. That would have been 4 separate episodes and they could have some rest with filming but they rushed with the editing, grrrr... With judo we saw all the members play so it was exciting to see. Here in volleyball, my favorite sport. we just saw the highlights even in their former games. Too bad.......
WHATEVER GOES FOR ME They need to rush filming because each of them have different set of schedules everyday. So regrouping them would mess their schedule. Like Hodong, Jaeyeon and Jota who's filming 7 days a week during this time because they are active in each others projects, so their sched is tight.
And of course the network/program will try everything to save resources/money.
xxxkweni, what I meant was that KBS need not cut the games in this volleyball segment of Cool Kiz and show the games in their entirety. They selected highlights of the games and chose the set to be shown on air. The fact that we see highlights means that they have the footage of the games but they cut them to shorten it to fit the hourly episode. I would have preferred that they extend the volleyball segment by showing the games in their complete versions and not just the highlights and selected sets. No need to regroup because for the finals, it was just for one day but the time could have been 4 episodes. This way, the program would have time to prepare for the next sport.
I respect how coach Kim trust his team and change player role last minute. Mean he understand his player very well. Plus the way he motivate and control player emotion from outside is really touched and cool. I fall in love with him. 😍😍
I play VB and I know Ryohei before coming here. His an all around player. But still all of them work hard so they are all aces.

Volleyball arc became my next favorite sport that Cool Kiz has done after basketball. A team sport is really different. The energy, the camaraderie, it's just amazing. And also, I think I'm gonna watch Roommate season 2 coz I want more Ryohei.

Gyoik is a really versatile player and I don’t think he gets enough praise for how good he is! It was really exciting to see him in the setter position even though they haven’t practiced it before.
No matter how many times i watch this, i still scream in every spike, block, save. I loved judo, but there is a different charm in playing team sport. And this series was just jang! Ryohei is a gem! He can play any position! Ans is wven a great captain. Hak jin has an amazing spirit! The pressure alon of being the ace must have been exhausting. Man seok was the pillar of defense. He needs more recognition. And of course coach Kim. You can clearly see his trust with his team with the decision of changing positions during the game. And of course the rest of the gang. You can see how much they've supported each other thru out this series. I miss this bunch.

Ryohei is such a great leader and an all around player he deserved more recognition imo. Manseok, all those digs despite the bruises must have been painful. Gyoik, your smile always made my day. hihi. And of course our Hakjin, he is truly the ace. My heart hurts that this ended but wishing all the members more success so we can see them on tv often. 2018 i know im late but I only found out about this show because of Jong Hwa (jota) during his Judo episodes and I was so happy that he was casted again and improved so much in volleyball. I'm so proud of the team. Team work indeed. 💕

As a former pro volleyball player, I loved this series! Their commitment to each other and to the game was so fun to watch. Loved Coach Kim, he was a great choice for their leader. Ryohei, Hodong, Hakjin, Jota, Gyoik, Jaeyoon, Donghyuk, Manseok, Kangman and Sleepy worked together to win the final tournament. One person can't win the game, you need everyone working together to accomplish that goal!! So glad they promoted volleyball in such a positive and fun way

6th time rewatching this and I'm still so impressed by how Coach Sejin encourages everyone even tho they made mistakes. As a volleyball player, yes being strict can really help you get better but getting mad on a player for making a mistake can really discourage them. I experienced having a coach that literally gets mad if you didn't receive a ball properly and it's just so annoying to hear. Some of the coaches we've seen here on the show tend to get annoyed by the player who made a mistake. They might not show it much since they're being filmed but you can see the annoyance on their faces. Coach Sejin on the other hand, encourages them and tells them calmly how to fix their problem, which makes the players calmer and not pressured. It was also very smart of him to suddenly change their positions on the very last minute since all of their games were filmed, everyone who's against them obviously watched their plays and already knew their weaknesses and strengths. But ofc the changing positions wouldn't really work if Ryohei and Gyoik aren't all around players lol. How I wish my coach before was as nice as Coach Sejin

Wow what a reversal!! It's like a drama ending. The way they were going during the tour, I thought for sure they would only make it up so far. However, all those games probably just helped them even more on what to improve. Probably the best way to end a sport series!!

Iam happy that they won, thier team work and everything they have done to progress to here really astonishes me. And in September my school clubs starts and theres Volleyball!! Iam sooo excited to do it. You know why? Cool Kiz. Thats right, Cool Kiz have inspired me to do any sport, even if i never played it before just to give a try. You are my role models believe it or not. I always am happy when u guys are 😊 If your sad then i will be. Thrilled, absolutely thrilled! Also then theres Sadness in me....you guys are gonna go, teamwork wasted, friendship wasted.....its ahhhh 😭😭I honestly hope u guys will keep in contact and there will be special episodes where u come back to meet up. But this is unlikely to happen. Its break my heart. However what u guys did has not just given u pride, it has to me. I hope iam not the only one who is passionate to them. I watch Cool Kiz Volleyball episode season again,but this episodes make choked up and cried because only 5 month they become really close and when they play in final sets,it's very sad at the same time because their final episodes of volleyball seasons,but at last they win for their hardworking practice volleyball,special training from legends and of course their coach motivated for their team...
Definitely the best team that was put together in Cool Kiz, really loved watching these guys together.
It's sad to see the sport end!

ryohei needs to spike, periodt.
It's Hakjin, Ryohei, Gyoik and Manseok for me. They were all MVPs for me, because they were all unexpendable. With any one of them missing, they would have certainly lost somewhere along the way.
I was so worried that the finals would end before Hakjin recovered from the fatigue and injury enough to get another good spike in. It might've felt less complete for him, as the member who's always been called the ace, if he failed to score until the end, even if they'd won nonetheless. I'm so happy he was able to make that one last push to win the 14th point. It was such a neat spike in such a crucial point. I started watching this volleyball series because his spike in one of the early episodes caught my eyes when I was just watching random RUclips videos, so it made me so happy that things had ended very beautifully for him.
I'm two years late to this, but I'm going to miss them so much. They've become such a real team in a few months. I hope they still reunite sometimes, even if it's just to hang out and get a few drinks.
I like this team. They support each other and complement each other's strength and weaknesses. Ryohei made a huge difference and it can't be executed if they didn't have their team chemistry. Hakjin and Gyoik is hot lol. I also want to appreciate the Coach and Hodong, they never forget to uplift the spirit of the team.

This was just a variety show but it showed how they're friendship and teamwork paid off. They valued each and every game and learned from all their losses. The amount of emotion shown here make me want to cry too.
Others who still cried hard after this episode on 2020? 😭😭😭 I always come back for cool kiz episodes and the volleyball is the best huhu
