Never know the pain that people are hiding behind their silence or a polite smile. Heartbreaking to see such suffering still exists but out in the open in our streets. Nothing's worse than being unwanted/unneeded/unloved and being thrown away by family & society.
Happens all the time anymore unfortunately. People stab you right where it hurts and laugh while you bleed.
Not all are "thrown away." Many are severely mentally ill and should be institutionalized, but thanks to the ACLU, they are out on the streets instead of getting treatment and being cared for.
I agree. I think it would had to of been absolutely horrible to be born with OCD or ADD or anything like that back in those days. People didn’t understand it. Thus people were treated very badly. I think going to an institution or place like this would of just been awful. Even in todays time people are misdiagnosed and misunderstood I can’t imagine having something wrong with you back then. My sister has dyslexia. She failed the second grade. People thought she was not smart. She was and is she just couldn’t see things right. This was back in the late sixties early seventies when she failed second grade and had to repeat it. They didn’t understand dyslexia like they do now. So I just know from what we went through with my sister that people when they don’t understand or something is different, they can be very mean. I remember when they determined she could read better using pink paper. All her assignments were printed on pink paper. Life back then had to be difficult. I feel for these people and how they were treated.

@@pdmullgirl My son & my sister both have ADHD, and my sister also has some learning disabilities, and you're so right about them being misdiagnosed and misunderstood - even nowadays. It's really sad, and I feel horrible watching them (or anyone else) go through some of the things that they have (and still do); people can just be so mean and so uncaring... it breaks my heart. As bad as it can be today, I cannot imagine how absolutely horrible it would have been back in those days for anyone suffering from any type of mental or physical illness / disability - etc.
Tbh, I myself have real bad clinical depression, as well as pretty mild OCD, and my own family looks at me and treats me like I'm just some "crazy person" - so without a doubt they'd, have *definitely* locked my ass up in one of these places 😭

I appreciate how the brothers don't sesationalize things. So many paranormal channels use startling sound effects, repeat things ad nauseum, and try to create drama where there isn't any. The Fourman brothers just keep going, and let the evidence speak (sometimes literally!) for itself. Thanks guys.
Yep agree. Used to love Paranormies but they just seem to capture more elaborate things every time. Also good evidence in their videos of them faking and setting things up 🙁

They seem to focus so much on overall editing (which is great - we all love nice looking productions!) but unfortunately I think they do more "entertaining" than true paranormal work. And they're not the only ones, of course. I find it harder and harder to find more authentic stuff. But I have nothing against being entertained as long as we're all on the same page about it ;)
I think what happens with a lot of channels is that they find true evidence, get the views, then struggle to continue that streak. So they start to create entertainment in lieu of actual evidence.

Like who? When you call yourself an “investigators” you usually do more than freak out over EVERY LITTLE BUMP lol
You also do more than patronize the spirits by asking them to “make a noise”. As a matter of fact I’ve had spirits laugh at them during investigations because of the things they’ve asked “ghosts” to do like “say my name” or “can you bang on something”. This is NOT investigating. If they didn’t get into the better haunted locations,this would be embarrassing to watch. Rocky is the only one who is remotely an investigator. This is nothing more than 3 men (2 extremely feminine w/t*ts) fooling a bunch of single moms or living their lives through these guys vicariously lol.. I’m sorry dude,this is NOT investigating. This is visiting a haunted house and asking the same questions you’ve asked literally EVERY SINGLE VIDEO from ten years ago.
Like I said,I’ve had spirits makes jokes on them for the sh*t they say. Someone else had them brought up during a ouija board session.
The spirit is mocking them around 26:00 telling THEM to “make a noise”.

So many layers of history, objects and deaths, almost impossible to narrow down in such a huge place. I always wonder on every "ghost, paranormal' show (you guys are by far my favourite since the beginning years ago) what it is they see, as we see it? or the era they died? are they jumping up and down screaming trying to get your attention and can only knock on things and maybe a faint whisper? Why didn't they pass into the light as all NDE's describe? If there's a heaven, I wanna go there, not some attic or basement. So many questions that none of us will know until we pass I guess. Another great ep. missed Rocky tho.
Yeah, they're the first questions I would ask : Do you know what year you died in? What year were you born in? What did you do in life? Did you have family, and if so were you all close? Then state the year we're living in now so they can get a bit of perspective. I'd also ask how long it takes for the soul to leave the body after death and do you still retain memories from your past life. Cheers!

I worked at Central Virginia Training Center in Amherst Va. it was built in the early 1900’s. It housed allot of mentally handicapped people along with severely physically handicapped people. It has a long history of paranormal activity and I experienced some there myself. Allot of abuse went on there in the early years and those children have remained there as tortured souls!!! I’d love to see the Fourman brothers go there!!!! This place is allot like the Training Center. When is was initially opened it was called The Colony for The Epileptic and Feeble Minded!!!!! The main building had a cornerstone that has that name on it!!

My heart's aches for anyone whom had to endure such torture and neglect in those hell holes known as asylums... terrible and tragic isn't even worth the explanation and experience those poor souls went through. May they hopefully find peace and grace.🙏
