great reaction this is the best the band has ever sounded the new bass player and clean vocalist is Ryan Neff from Miss May I, he replaced old bass player josh gilbert who plays bass for spirit box
Hell yeah AILD is OG metal core. I felt the same way about Knocked Loose' lead vocalist. But all it took was hearing one song that kind of turned it around for me.
This is something I've been waiting for you to get to. So fun tid bit I've known Tim the harsh vocalists wife Dany for over 13 years now. Crazy to think she married her favorite vocalist lol
Also powercore is a metal genre but I wouldn't say this is exactly that, but that being said you even said you didn't know if that was a genre already.
I'm with you on this one. 2nd song is way better. They seem similar to All That Remains for me. I listen to some ATR but not much AILD at all. Probably for the reasons you critiqued. #lawn
Tim and AILD are one of the godfathers of metalcore. Melting faces since early 2000s

They invented metalcore
I prefer older As I lay dying but their new stuff is pretty good too, you should react to older songs to compare how their sound evolved

Their music tends to grow on people.
