Nice work with the Pulse dissection, Dustin! I may have to cut mine open now. I’ve been so reluctant to dissect my V because I love it so much. But the carbon fiber tube situation has me intrigued
I loved the community reviews! It felt more more like an organic conversation between friends :) I would have to either call the community review the “Medicine Mates” or “Pickleball Pals”
Just when I could not fall more in love with sweet Dustin, adorable fab reviewer, Dad, and med student…drinkin a white claw on the pod! Referring to Justin as “The Oracle.” I love it!❤😂
@@PickleballPursuitno way! You bros win the day in your matching outfits for sure! But you have to admit Dustin is a great & righteous dude and a cutie, and his referring to Justin as THE ORACLE absolutely slayed me! We will from this point on never refer to Justin as anything other than THE ORACLE!🔮 😜😂
I love what you’re saying about the Fire bc it confirms in that I am hybrid or trying to be at least hybrid leaning for maneuverability these days and when I realized the fire I liked most was elongated it didn’t feel like it at all to me. So for that particular paddle I’m leaning elongated instead of hybrid 🤷🏻♀️
Great first pod guys! Love the real world review section! I like the idea of having normal rec players giving their opinions. Hoping to get my hands on the Fires and the Pulses soon!
I enjoyed and you both did a great job on your first podcast. The community review potion should be called, “The people have spoken.” Thank you for your thoughts and the paddle reviewer’s thoughts on playing with the different paddles. Have a happy Thanksgiving 🦃, Dustin and Cody.
Great video podcast! You guys did a great job. I appreciate all the different input that you had and trying to do things different. Adding in the community reviews sets you apart. Definitely continue including this section. Overall, awesome job! I look forward to the next one.
Apes has said that they found additional micro holes in the broken in foam. Essentially, the new paddle was a solid foam and the broken in one had a softer foam with more holes in it. PERSONALLY, I like your theory better, that maybe the foam and the carbon fiber tubes separated, and increase the trampoline effect. I think then the Carbon fiber tubes prevent it from breaking further. GOOD STUFF IN THIS POD.
Congrats on the new pod - loved the Apes dissection piece - for the community review, I would go with “Weekend at Ernes” Keep up the good work! ps you guys both look pretty young so if you haven’t watched Weekend at Bernies, take a little time, go back to 1989, and give it a watch - classic
I bought the Pulse V and S, played with elongated paddles for over 5 years but fell in love with the V and no perimeter weighting. Love the paddle and curious to see how it stacks up against the new Gearbox Pro Ultimate Hyper which is in the power tier but with impressive control.
Whats ur opinion of the Apes Pulse S vs Flow Prime X? Demoed the “S” and when i hit the ball outside the sweet spot the ball died more then i thought it should with the foam side walls vs the Flow Prime X which i just got feels more solid all the way around and only costs $112 vs $180
Getting regular people to review paddles never works. I think Chris tried it once, they just don’t know. I mean they were consistently saying the Chorus Fires were heavy! Small sweet spot on the Pulse S ?!?!?
Always like seeing the internals, thanks for taking the time to do the work. Seems that any paddle that has foam touching Polypro, will has durability and integrity issues. Just sayin.

Looking forward to episode 2.
