Watch lewis capaldi's interview on the grahame Norton show. I was absolutely astounded at how completely opposite his personality is to his music. Also hollywood is more of an up beat song of his.

I think like you said the people behind them are sort of all the fights they had, or battling emotions that left all the bruises. They are staring at each other trying to hold it all back, and at the end the “walls” come down and they can’t keep it in anymore. She does that soft caress of the face at the very end, to me that said “I love you and care about you but there is just too much here” It’s interesting to see how people interpret things. Been enjoying your reviews so far!
I agree. That was my best guess as to what all those people symbolized. If it meant something else i'd be curious to hear it but I am pretty confident in this interpretation. It is a very unique way to portray such a thing. Glad to hear it :)
