I am from the north Chennai and it some itcheness was there when watching the movie. however we need to acknowledge the work of a creator. The way Vetrimaran handled the criticism and crowd is really appreciatable.

I'm from Kerala and in our industry most of the gangster films roots go to Cochin (Mattancherry) area and that doesn't mean that all the people who live there hold a bad nature or character... And we didn't protest or question them as well... Because we know that the place holds a certain grey side just like every place in the world, moreover we know about "US". From my point of view Vada Chennai - it's a movie about a small group of people, who are residing in North Madras area... And he even stated that before the film got released...It's not about the entire people who are residing there... So how can some people say that it's entirely against us or the movie hurts us, our emotions etc... Actually, Tamil cinema industry & people should proud of having a director like Vetrimaran... Really admire him, Really a unique personality, and his style of filmmaking is pure class... Eagerly waiting for Vada Chennai 2 & 3...
